Italian Grand Prix 2010, Monza Circuit - Race 14/19

Although Hamilton is now top of the time sheets, Button has done very well.
Hamilton is definitely pushing hard.
 
Hamilton and Button are pretty much matching each other to 0.1s

Hamilton running a skinny rear wing and no F-duct
Button has the bigger wing and the F-duct

Hamilton just tops the times at the moment by about 0.05s
 
What is the speed difference at the speedtraps between Button and Hamilton?

I can't find this in the F1 iPhone app.

Wow, the McLarens are 7/10th of a second faster than Alonso now.

They are just testing the cars with and without i'm guessing just to test or Lewis didnt like the setup
 
Both Mclarens need to test with high fuel loads, i think that the f-duct/higher df combo might be a better choice for the race (better exit, easier on the tyres, stable underbraking, stable overall car balance) but knowing Hamilton he wants pure speed.

EDIT: both Mclarens are on the softer tyres now

McLaren are running a split test. The skinny Monza rear wing doesn't work with the F-duct, so Hamilton is running that this afternoon without the f-duct. Button has something similar to Spa's rear wing on, with the f-duct.

Hamilton may keep the Monza skinny wing and will run without of the f-duct all weekend. He may go back to the Spa spec - depends what he decides on.

Button seems pretty happy running the bigger wing and the f-duct.
 
The drivers are running so little rear wing that the f-duct probably doesn't help much.

Surprised to see Schumacher can't get within half a second of Rosberg around this track, it's not like he can blame aero. :p
 
It's a glorious day here at Monza. Warm and dry. Massa is flying at the moment :cool:

Just been told Hugh Grant is on our table tomorrow. I hope he isn't expecting me to talk to him as I can't stand him!
