Italian Grand Prix 2010, Monza Circuit - Race 14/19

Hahaha, I'm probably one of the least biased people when it comes to drivers on here. And for once I'm actually going to agree with Sunama. You cant even admit that Vettel was at fault just call me biased because I picked holes in the extremely biased video. Don't forget its not the only time Vettel has made questionable pushing moves this season. Also nice to note that even though I never mentioned Schumacher you still manage to get him in a post.

how is vettel at at fault? he was clearly released before hamilton and hes clearly half a car infront of hamilton.

hamilton shouldnt have been trying to race him down the pitlane regardless of wether vettel squeezed him or not.

i bet you would defend hamilton even if he lost it on release and speared into someone else garage like he very nearly did..

the same thing pretty much happened in canada aswell?

Vettel should not have squeezed Hamilton so far to the right.

Hamilton on the other hand, should not have attempted to race Vettel, in the pit lane.

They are both at fault.

The reason why they were side by side is because Hamilton was a little bit too eager and spun the rear wheels, if he made a clean getaway he would have been in front.

Expecting/telling a race driver like Hamilton to back off is pointless, as also proven when someone (can't remeber who) had to ease up on the brakes and drive slower, they had to tell him 3 times to slow down.

And you have the cheek to call ME biased? Maybe you get a different video to everyone else along with TV coverage? Maybe you missed it I also said for once I am actually going to agree with Sunama who incase you missed that also said they were just as bad as each other.
Go back a few GP threads ago and you will see me criticising Hamilton for his accident at Monza last year and others telling me so what he had nothing to lose.

Er which accident would that be?

oh shut up hamilton should have slowed down for a second and gone in the same lane as vettel

Dood I dont agree with Peter either about the Hamilton/Vettel thing but thats no reason to tell him to shut up

well he should stop beeing biased and acting out like it was all vettels fault when vettel was atleast in the correct lane even if he was a tool hamilton could have avoided it all by slowing down for a fraction of a second its not like you can overtake in the pits anyway.

but aparently you cant expect hamilton to slow down because hes hamilton :S

i dont like vettel so i dont know why he seems to think i do , ive said it before and i will say it again.

the car is flattering vettel imo , webber was always a middle team guy a good driver but nothing special yet hes able to challenge the german messiah who has made loads of rookie mistakes even though hes not a rookie.

so much for beeing the german wonder boy

still for me Button has been the most impressive driver this season. I thought he lucked onto the WDC with the best car but he is proving he was the real deal all along.

...even though a driver (Hamilton), in the same car is leading Button in the title race?

Yeh imagine so. Hamilton is driving a car he is familiar with. Button is in a new team with a new car and coping well unlike everyone thought he would :p

Being impressive doesn't mean you need to be best, its just relative to the expectations. Everyone expected Hamilton to be top this season (or Alonso) - so for Button to be within a race win - that's impressive.

See I would agree with that... except...
Hamilton joined Mclaren in his first year of racing in F1 in a totally new formula, let alone a new car (like Button), and nearly won the championship. Now ok it helped that he drove a superior car, but he was on par with his team mate (Alonso) at the time if you recall and he's certainly no slouch... and who incidentally was the double world champion.

If what Button is doing is impressive then what Hamilton did was something beyond that.

wut? How many more times can I tell you. THEY WERE BOTH AS BAD AS EACH OTHER. How on gods green earth is that biased? You are more than welcome to check through my posts as I never stated that you liked Vettel either, I did point out that rather than see that they were both naughty you just jumped on me calling be biased.

Hamilton has been with Mclaren for years and years and it is rumoured he spent 5 days a week for 2 years in their simulator and driving test cars. I'm guessing he'd do alright based on that, but it was still fairly impressive.

No amount of simulators or running in other formulaes is going to give you any experience running in F1 car.

And I'm sure we' would have heard about any tests that he conducted in F1 cars. Just as we do for any other of the up and coming stars in other F1 teams.

I am anti-Hamilton, and he's done a fair few mistakes in the short time he's been in F1, but I cannot deny that the guy is something special and has skills of the same order as the greats past and gone.

Button, although good, is simply not in that category imho. But has certainly surpassed my expectations this year as I expected him to be trounced all over by Hamilton, but the fact of the matter is he's only 1 wins worth of points away from Hammy, cant be bad.
