Italian Grand Prix 2015, Monza - Race 12/19

As for closed cockpits to me it's a silly idea Massa accident proved nothing would stop a small part.
Maybe they should concentrate on helmet design and strength.

Huh... Going back to the Spa engine. Merc's engines this year are remarkable. 2 of the biggest engine use circuits on an old engine. Damn.

Understandable though - if they used a new "old spec" engine then that would have to be used for future races too. They don't want to use up an engine allocation on a "old spec" unit.

Yep, they've been cornered into doing that, be interesting how the engine handles the race tomorrow.

Either take the spar engine, or take their final engine of old spec, take the grid penalty and he would behind Hamilton the rest of the year.

Just turned on the live timing app, bluetoothed the speaker for the radio comms. Suddenly have some rabid wittering in Italian. It appears the new version of the app turned on the local commentary. Turning that straight off.

Even with a car not really doing a lap, McLaren still can't get out of Q1.

Hope they caught Verstappen's engine cover failure on camera.

[edit]

Woah... they did.

Somebody forgot a clip at Torro Rosso!

See something like that it's just lap of the gods it doesn't hit someone. Can imagine they're going to get in trouble for that.

As for grid penalties, I dont see the alternative.
Don't agree with taking points off.
Dome agree with one race impacting another,
Teams can't afford big fines.

So grid penalty in it's current form is actually sensible. Who cares if it's 50. It just means back of grid.

So how many races has Rosbergs engine done? Is it really that much down on power compared to a new engine? Or is Ham just on it?
