I did fill up last night at Sainsbury’s and notice they had no Diesel.
Once you let the cat out of the bag and mention "panic buying", you can't put it back in. People tend to switch off and go in to survival mode e.g. "must fill up just incase they run out ahmagawd"
I unknowingly avoided the mess when I went out on a bike last night to fill up, at about 1am (not hoonage, I promise) and wondered why the Tesco one was coned off, so pootled slowly over to Morrisons, and filled up there blissfully unaware of any potential panic buying issues. I need fuel in another one too, so I was planning on doing the same this evening. I assume it will be the fine by then.
EV owners with solar and battery storage - now is your time![]()
I assume it will be the fine by then.
If you have home solar with storage the reliance on external gas or electricity is a lot less !!Just in time for the power cuts when the generating stations run out of natural gas...
.
Have you heard what they said on the news today, have you heard what is coming to us all? That the world as we know it will be coming to an end, have you heard?
and they'd be correct in stating that. the issue is getting the supplies to the stations! On the way home, the news on the radio: "The government have said there is no problem with fuel supplies".
I don't think there were even that many forign tanker drivers. There has always been a bit of a shortage afaik.
The issue now is idiots panic buying and creating the problem themselves. Like they did with toilet paper. These people need culling.

What came first, the news about shortage of petrol, or the shortage of petrol?
