Had a little snow in county durham this evening, and i believe newcastle had some this afternoon.

I love seeing the first snow of the winter. The novelty wears off for me by March/April which ties in lovely with the start of spring.

We have had a bit here. Only around a half inch but this is early. Bitterly cold too. Wind chill has been awful today. Makes me think my theory of a hard winter is spot on. Similar summer to 2010 and we ended up with 4 feet of snow the following winter.

Thank gawd for that. I like watching it snow, but as soon as I have to go out and drive in it, the novely most definitely wears off.

Great if you're holidaying abroad. Less so if it's local.
