It's snowing

Bit of snow here, a light covering but mainly ice on the roads & pavements. Visited a customer down a quiet street, greeted by a car drifting sideways towards me lol  Was going slow so could stop my side and he ended up a couple of feet before my bonnet /phew

It's just one massive skive isnt it

Well, for some people, definately. I took Friday off because my way to work is about 20% totally untreated roads, 50% rarely treated roads and 30% completely treated roads in town. I wasn't willing to risk my car getting damaged just for one days work. Worked out ok in the end, as only 4 people made it in, then decided to go home at 10ish!

You have to wonder how much effort people in this country put in when they know the reward for failiure is a day off work :p

:p I'm not even going to try and deny that.

Snows not too bad here this morning, mainly just a coating of frozen slush and ice. Took me 2 and a half hours to get home last night in the snow. A journey that would normally take me 30-40 mins. Unlit country roads are not fun. Had to get out and push the car in front 3 times. One of the few occasions where I'm glad I don't own a powerful RWD car.

Tell me about it - I found myself hankering after a small fwd car this morning.

Although I wouldn't have missed the 4 wheel powerslide into my works car park this morning for the world - 50m completely sideways and stopped bang on my parking space - honestly, it was like something out of a bond movie.

Just hoping it's not all gone before I get home tonight so I can take the Westfield out for a play on Sainsbury's car park.

Lol, do you live in chepstow by any chance????

That looks an awful lot like chepstow, then i looked at your location and it said Monmouthshire!

Its giving it the beans at the moment with the current shower. It appears to be sticking as well. As always, the email has gone out from one of the directors saying, you can go home if you want! Slackers!

Was in town today and saw to many idiots slamming their foot down to get out of the snow, surprise they just sat there spinning on the spot.

I hope it get snowed in a bit at work tonight.......

the car park should be nice entertainment on the way out then :p
