Temp in the kitchen already 25degC in Guildford.. the fish have pooped so much that I had to clean the pond filter this morning already (got cleaned at the weekend).

Put reflective radiator insulation on the car windscreen to keep it a little cooler as the sun hits that window with vengeance.. got a job interview at 3pm with a 40min drive..

I actually melted yesterday.
Was fine pretty much all day in work in Runcorn then got home and had to re-fit out a bedroom having just had some new carpets.
Uuuuuurgh.....cold shower afterwards and stood in front of a pedestal fan naked and having a beer.
Don't know what temp it was but it was too hot.

Interesting that the sun was lighting up the clouds after it had set.. we actually had some rain (small amount) and I think some lightning last night but no thunder.. so someone had a storm but not here :/

After showering and shaving it was started to get cooler so last night I slept pretty well. Only left open the window I usually do and had no discomfort of sleep

then I wake up in the morning and walking to work the heat is back

25c when I left the house at 5.45; 1:30 mins on a sardine can into London as 1/2 the trains are cancelled due to line problems for last night.. thermometer on the windowsill in the office (central London; still in the shade) reading 29.2c

Didn't sleep too badly last night. Bedroom is on the opposite side to the sun in the afternoon/evening so it was cool. Fortunate really!

The mornings are grim though.
