I burnt my feet yesterday at the beach on the tarmac! Got blisters on the soles today. Never happened before!
 
Havent seen/heard my postman in 3 days wonder if he's off because of the weather, must be a hell of a job walking 10+miles in this heat with a bag that can weigh up to 16kg

I was expecting a special delivery packet that should have been delivered yesterday but it only arrived today, I was watching out the window for him doing his rounds and noticed a postvan collecting letters from the postbox on the street.
he then came over with my packet which seems unusual since it weighs only 30grams or so and my postman would normally carry them on his rounds.

even had a postie bring a big box with a remote control helicopter kit I ordered from china many years ago, it must have weighed like 4kg+ and was in a box like 20inches long lol

P.S can I sue my postman ? :D (guess I could make a claim from royal mail because it was guaranteed next day but came 2 days after it being in their hands. but seems kinda lame in such circumstances so I won't)
 
28c on my living room, bearable just sat here with a fan, but try doing anything and it's horrible.
It's two years on the trot now we have had increasingly warmer spells. If the trend continues it might be time to get a double split AC, living room and bedroom.
 
Actually got to work in a university building this week with AC its heaven, warm but bearable if it was like last week in a glass roofed building with no windows open never mind AC I think I'd have rebelled.

I'd love a split AC but in a flat its a noisy portable only, havn't gotten to that point yet though temperature inside hasn't caught up with temperature outside yet a fan blowing is enough for now, maybe tomorrow.

Guessing you've never had to work outside? With the sun on you and when its physical you get hot from that too so there comes a point where you seek the shade or pass out. Sitting on your backside in the shade tapping your keyboard sipping cool drinks really doesn't compare.
