It's too hot :(

It's been the perfect summer for me, none of this relentless 30c heat for weeks on end where you can't get a decent nights sleep and not get frustrated with it during the day. The rain has been a bit rubbish but I love the low 20s to mid 20s sunny spell type weather. I wish every summer was like this.

Might I suggest that you explore the possibly of relocating to Skagen, Denmark, where the max in June is 18c, rising to 20c in July and August, dropping to 17c in September?
Meanwhile I’ll be prevailing upon my wife to come with me to spend my remaining years in French Guiana, where the average annual temperature is 26.2c, and a bottle of decent champagne can be had for between $23 and €39 per bottle.

Sign me up if it doesnt rain much. It rains so much in the UK that i take a rubber dinghy when i leave the house

Temps were creeping back up, two nights ago I hit 27C in my room but then the day just gone there was a lot of breeze and temps shot down again by a 3-4C so much more comfortable.

Getting nippy at night now. Used to have my windows all open for the last few months but they're closed now, will open them before I go to bed to air the house out overnight.

At last someone agrees that it’s not as hot as others are beefing about.

Average in French Guiana exceeds 100 inches per year, in many areas 120 inches, but it’s warm rain.

Antarctica might suit you better than Europe, I don’t want Sicilian heat, (of late), but a northern Floridian type would be okay.

Can you please give it a rest. Some people like cooler weather, doesn't mean they want to live in the South Pole. Just because you like warmer weather doesn't mean I would suggest you move to Phoenix or Death Valley. Every time someone says that they like cooler weather you admonish them to move to somewhere sub zero.

This summer. Absolutely grim.
Genuinely makes me want to emigrate.

I do now work for an international wfh role. So maybe it is possible. I will have to investigate.

It really is **** when you have very weather dependant activities and get summers like this and also can't travel abroad.

From my understanding climate change for the UK is more of this. So yeah probably need to look at getting out

I do symathise, but I don't empathise. Well, I can kind of empathise in the opposite way. Many is the time I have thought of moving somewhere cooler, but maybe I won't have to at this rate.

At one point I was thinking of moving to Anchorage, but it looks like they haven't escaped some of the heat.

That said, I would rather have 15C and drizzle than the painful heat-related intensity a lot of the world has been getting this summer. We really are 'lucky', even though for many it won't feel like it.

I'm not sure where you'd go though? Climate change means extremes of weather for all countries, look at southern / central Europe at the moment.

Or just learn to get wet when you're outdoors :D

[Edit] Spain has had 42c in Madrid this week, absolutely no way you could do your hobbies in that kind of heat either. At 42c you're either in a pool, the sea or somewhere with A/C

This is true! Seems to be less and less moderate areas.

To be honest the only place that interests me is NZ. It's got the climate, culture and terrain I love. Not really many options when you like hills and coast!

Ha yes. This must be great for yourself. Not too hot. Not too cold. For me it's not even the cold it's the wet that really puts a dampener ( :D ) on things.

Toughest is remembering how lush last summer was.. When couldn't do anything!

I have a feeling that it's going to be MANY years before NZ will open their doors again... You just need to invest in some decent wet weather gear :p

Point taken, maybe I doth protest too much, I’ll
endeavour to curb my enthusiasm, over and out.

Worst summer I can remember!! August is going out to be a complete bust bar a few days of "Warm" weather. I don't mind a cool summer, but not wind or rain
