Try putting cola bottles sweets in the fridge. In fact, any jelly sweets. Take on a new flavour and cold!
I’m talking about people where I live, Leicester, driving the 75 miles to Skegness. Or 175 miles to Bournemouth. Overcrowded beaches like they use the same stock photo in the media, fills me with dread. How can that be bloody relaxing? You can't struggle to park if you're within walking distance of the beach, or in my case many beaches, and you can't struggle to get food or go to the toilet if there aren't any food or toilet facilities around
Slap the speedo’s on and get on with it.Would anyone here do an 8 hour day doing Manual work in Monday’s heat?
Is it mega dangerous?
Good idea!!Try putting cola bottles sweets in the fridge. In fact, any jelly sweets. Take on a new flavour and cold!
Nah. We want snow as well. Nothing wrong with very cold either. Seasons are great you get best of both. Hot and cold!Yeah totally agree, no need for it, also ban under 5c
Good idea!!

Guessing i be working 10 1/2 hour (7am > 6pm) on Monday & TuesdayWould anyone here do an 8 hour day doing Manual work in Monday’s heat?

That is bad. I feel for you.Guessing i be working 10 1/2 hour days on Monday & Tuesday
Not if you're sensible. Many people do it all around the world. Make sure you're well hydrated, sun cream, hat and take regular breaks. Is it pleasant? No probably not, but it just needs a slight change in managing time and resources.
That is bad. I feel for you.
Terrible. Call in sick.Guessing i be working 10 1/2 hour (7am > 6pm) on Monday & Tuesday
Or the boss may try push for us to work 7am > 8pm as it a very important week this week at work as we meant to have an insurance check on site on Webnesday so there going be a major clean up
Absolutely. I work in the civil engineering space and so often in extreme environments. That's why welfare is of critical importance. With the right breaks and resource planning it's not impossible to work in extreme environments, unfortunately not every company makes those concessions or plans for it and people end up overworked without adequate protection.I think number of hours worked is a big factor. There's a massive issue in Dubai at the moment where a lot of immigrant workers who are in their 20s and 30s are dying of heart failure because of being subjected to many hours in the 40C+ heat all day.
Only so much the body can take regardless of how fit and healthy you are.
