It's too hot :(

BBC news reporting that some schools closing early on Monday, some sports events have been cancelled, and railway tracks expected to go out of shape a bit so are being painted white to deflect heat as the rails can reach 50c.

Lots of schools round my area doing distance learning Monday/Tuesday. Given it’s the end of term I doubt they’ll do much.

Need to take the car for an MOT Tuesday, fortunately not far and hopefully I can be back home quickly.

More worried for our 15 year old dog, he’s already nearing the end of his life. Someone mentioned buying some watermelon and having it in the fridge to try and help him stay hydrated, without seeds and rind obviously.

My dog likes watermelon, so maybe a few small chunks could keep your dog hydrated.

Why do we have a red weather warning for this weather. What is the "risk of serious illness or death" that the met office are on about. Its just a bit of warm weather.
don't you remember themega snow storm during the winter? where all the rivers froze and society collapsed for a week? all the news papers were banging on about it.
how can you doubt them now?

I like the people on the news channels telling us any heatwave is global warming, even if it's only 1c higher lol....

The BBC saying 40 degrees and the Met Office and Accu weather both saying 35. That's quite a difference. Are the bbc really that bad these days for forecasting?

AC is staying on until Wednesday now I think. Bliss
