It's too hot :(

21C outside apparently - but I can't tell any difference between outside and inside where it is 26-28C... no cool breeze at the moment :(

It was so warm last night I fell asleep at 8pm and I've just woke for work, feel like the temperature is exactly the same, no breeze, completely still.

It's going to be a long day I think. It's 4am and 20 degrees.

Room temp is 28C currently 4.40am, actually lower than some previous summers, but in those summers I would keep PC on 24/7 and bed room door shut.

But not as unpleasant as some previous summers.

Outside my front door its 23C.

The fan has now come in from cooling the garage freezer, to annoy and cool me instead.

Tomorrow I may be chucking out a lot of food. Still baking and no air movement out there.
Are you sure it's not being, have a freezer in our garage and it got to 40c in there, zero issues with the freezer.

Anyone else in a new build house?
They're great in winter, but my god they trap the heat in weather like this!
I fear tomorrow night will be even worse :(
Yup. Still 26.5C in the bedroom and that was after a day of blinds and curtains closed and having cardboarded over the windows.

Today is going to be wild. Gets up to 35C at about 1pm, then by 1am tomorrow we’ll be down to 18C. The breeze is going to be glorious tonight :D all the windows open everywhere.

Texted my boss just now to let him know I'm not in today. Like most I haven't slept a wink and despite our work ours reduced to 07:00-12:00 I am not risking it like yesterday.

Our flat peaked at 32.4c at 11pm last night and its 28.3c in here as I type this at 5:55am this morning. We've got zero wind blowing our way!

Think I have a reason to the chillers breaking down.

We have two lifts into the store from the car park above. Every time the lifts, comes down, it brings down warm air. The first chiller to play up is the nearest one to the lift.

Just needs customers to open the freezers more and raises the temp to
alarm to kick off

We have been told to stay at home and only leave for utter emergency's/danger to life situations.

I had to go out once yesterday for about an hour and it was hell, we have to wear long sleve trousers/tops boots hardhats and gloves at all times and to make matters worse, our equipment is inside cabinets which are like ovens in this heat.

Im working tonight for a few hours 2000-2300 booked it a few weeks ago and now it cant be moved due to cost, looks like it will still be in the 30s then cant wait :(

Yeah, another good nights sleep here. Okay, I am actually curious as I don't really get it. Maybe don't post specifically to answer, but next time you do post you can let us know, are you -

A) Just can't afford an air conditioner
B) Can't justify the expense of AC for 'just a few days of use a year'
C) Don't have the space for AC
D) Morally against AC due to environmental damage
E) Something else
F) Yes, I have AC and the last few days have been just fine thanks.

Just curious :)
