Looks like most temperatures have now been down rated a few degrees. Trains cancelled here for nothing, it’s no hotter than yesterday. Feels more humid this morning though and hotter earlier.

Weather forecasts still between 37-39c in the north east. That's 4 degrees warmer than yesterday

And going to be so much more moaning in winter with heating cost!

That was a brutal night, very little sleep. Dog walked this morning and that's all I plan to do today. 29c here currently at 8.45am!. 40% chance of rain this evening which should drop the temps rapidly.

Yeah it's definitely more sweaty this morning. Still saying 38c here later according to the BBC. Shame we won't hit 40c I was honestly wondering what that would be like I slept ok actually, just shorts on top of the bed. No worries...

Supposed to be travelling up north tomorrow on LNER. Wondering (a) what the heck the weather will be doing in the morning and (b) how much chaos there will be considering they cancelled all the trains today

It’s hard to imagine being too cold right now.

I’m missing yesterday’s breeze. The air is dead.

Even wasps are lining up for the bird bath now.

I mean from today's peak to early morning tomorrow it's going from 38c to 19c. I predict a lot of people are going to feel very ill with that 19c change!

Yeah, another good nights sleep here. Okay, I am actually curious as I don't really get it. Maybe don't post specifically to answer, but next time you do post you can let us know, are you -

A) Just can't afford an air conditioner
B) Can't justify the expense of AC for 'just a few days of use a year'
C) Don't have the space for AC
D) Morally against AC due to environmental damage
E) Something else
F) Yes, I have AC and the last few days have been just fine thanks.

Can't come soon enough to be honest, why would people be feeling ill in reasonable temperatures when compared with weather where it's almost too hot to move?

Even our air con worked hard to cool upstairs down last night from 30C. I’ll be leaving it on today.
