It's too hot :(

I think my whole family must be lizards. The kids slept really well, so did I and my wife. Had to pull the cover over me in the middle of the night since the breeze was really cool (welcomed nonetheless).

To be fair the inside of the house never got above 28C so quite agréable really.

BBQ ban is fine for open areas with disposable BBQs. Normal BBQs at home, they can **** right off trying to ban that. Even in London. We've had BBQ nearly every day during this weather!

Wait what!!! What ban on BBQ at home? Link?

What are you guys doing today about keeping windows open. Assuming it’s best for me just to leave them open most of the day? Forecast to be 20/22 here but living room is still 27 at the moment.

Cloudy luckily so should cut down the solar gain.

caution if leaving unattended, I believe thunderstorms are predicted in many places

There isn't, someone suggested banning BBQs - that's all. I agree about the disposable ones in London or public spaces.

I was responding to this @jonneymendoza :

listening to accounts of people whose houses burned down, sound like they should have a BBQ ban if this weather will persist - still warm in Cambridge
Neighbour was playing around with some kind of garden fire on saturday, despite being witness to a bbq fire that took out 2 neighbours decking and fences during 2021 warm spell,
( contemplated digging hose out of garage yesterday)

Surprised Sadiq can't impose a bbq ban in his area - grabbing limelight/publicity, as ever, was speaking for london fire services on r4today, must be a great boss.

Had hoped today was cooler here this morning, feels not much better than yesterday to be honest inside, currently 28 here outside and the other day we were predicted 35 yesderday and 21 wednesday, then it was miles out and was actually 39 with us and a mental 28 going to bed, so room still mafting, still it was going to be 21 today, wrong 28 at 9.00am so now doubt mid 30s again by afternoon, when the hell

@Chillr - name doesn’t check out. Thanks for the new word ‘matting’ though.

Grass cutting contractors have just shown up outside my flat despite the grass not having really grown since last time they were here and being all yellow. WTF.
