It's too hot :(

As expected trains are battered. Ending up driving a bit to get to a tube line, and then parking on some random birds drive for a tenner as the station car park was full. Lol.

18° here in Liverpool, which is perfect. Again, last night was horrible, as even though the temp started dropping the house just didn’t seem to shed the heat at all, with windows open and fans running, so I ended up on the couch and out 2 year old ended up on the mattress from her cotbed on the living room
floor again, so it took ages for me to finally get to sleep, and then I woke up with my back killing me.

What did you get yesterday in Liverpool, jealous you've got 18 as I'm too up north but near east coast, still very hot here.

Yesterday’s high that I saw was 37° according to my phone around 1600, but the temps started dropping from around 2100 onwards, and by midnight it was down to 22°, but according to my Nest thermostat, which is at the bottom of the stairs in the hall, it was still 27.5°, so it must have still been in excess of 30° upstairs, and I’d even gone to the extent of going up into the loft to open the skylights to try and let some cooler air in from outside.

wow so lucky, wished for it to drop but never came, this african air seems to love it here and won't shift on, how on earth can you predict 21 a couple of days and then it be in 30s which I presume its just going to keep rising now, 4 days in a row of this 30 milarky and very nearly 40, I've forgot what 20s feel like, normally summer here never sees over 30.

Room temp did drop to 26.8C, but breeze is gone now and its going up again.

Official outdoor temp is already back up to 24C. It bottomed out at 20C which was 2C above prediction.

Anyone know much about heatwaves, is anywhere in the UK immune to them? not sure I can handle the future here if this is the new norm, maybe shetland islands will be my best bet
