Sitting in the garden in the dark and it’s still really warm.
Our garden is full of frogs, I guess the evenings waterings have attracted them. Can’t be much water around right now.

Similar situation in the winter where can’t think of shorts, air con/fans and walking on one side of the road to keep in the shadeWith 30C+ days in June, July and August we’ve never used our air con so much. It’s been great. Hopefully we don’t need the heating on too early this year. It’s hard to imagine being cold right now.
We need a thunderstorm to put some oxygen back into the air. I was having to breathe a bit harder today.
Im just waiting for the bed wetting, soy latte drinking lunatics to start shrieking cLiMaTe ChAnGE when we mysteriously have thunder storms after a period of hot weather.
I’m sure at some point Brexit will be mentioned as well.
Also the people who moan about it’s raining!Im just waiting for the bed wetting, soy latte drinking lunatics to start shrieking cLiMaTe ChAnGE when we mysteriously have thunder storms after a period of hot weather.

Hope your mum is ok, it's a scary time, my mum and dad are getting on and neither seem to do anything to stay cool, maybe its a generation thing I dunno, their home is absolutely mafting, they never open windows, just sit and suffer, you tell them all things to try and keep cool but they just do their own thing and pretend its not dangerous temperatures, they also only drink tea and coffee which in my mind is pure madness.Amber warning for extreme heat where my mother is and she says she feels sick all the time. Worrying.
30% chance of light rain tuesday. That'll fill the reservoirs /s.
Its the same everywhere theres a picture of river in lincolnshire thats dried up completely and its worse in france more than one river has dried up completely and even the mighty Loire has been reduced to a piddling stream
What did they call it? White oil? Water is more profitable than oil extraction which is why all the water companies are foreign owned its worth a fortune.
Less than the time it'll take to build all the nuclear power stations thats going to solve all our energy problems then eh? Good, good.
they also only drink tea and coffee which in my mind is pure madness.
Yep, was so looking forward to Tuesday getting down to 20, but now that's warm as well which I just knew it would be, the forecasts are always miles off and always below with predictions, by the looks of it this warm weather goes on to end of August at least which is as far as I can see on the forecast, think this August will be the hottest on record, hope September and October are cooler with lots of rain for the garden but fear it will be another 2 months of heatwaves.Predictions already backed off, east will stay above 25C on Tuesday.
Really, I don't drink either and pretty much just drink mainly water, you wouldn't think it would cool you down but maybe it does somehow. At least they are getting hydrated some how.plenty of freinds i know swear by drinking tea or coffee in hot weather, i tried it at work when it was really hot and by god it worked, 5-10mins after i felt cooler even though is was swealtering hot 37 degrees outside and 40+ in the warehouse i work in, though did rig a usb fan on my forklift to help keep me cool until my next break(s), luckly the week just gone and next week i have off so i missed the worst of the heat, but still at home i swear its just as bad
Yeah got a fan at home, just seems to make it warmer though most of the time in this heat as it just moves hot air around, not really bothered having it on much.
What make is it, does it cost lots to run it? the cost of them and the hassle with something stuck out the windows, we have odd shaped windows, doubt it will work on the bedroom windows.luckly for me i have a aircon unit i bought when the country was in covid lockdown and i was on furlogh, its earning its keep during thease hot spells, 10-15 degrees cooler in my room, which is a god send
