It's too hot :(

Kind of weird day weather wise - I was trying to sleep earlier and without covers on my bed felt too cool almost cold but as soon as I pulled the covers over me I was boiling and likewise it feels cool almost to the point you need to put an extra layer on if you are just standing or sitting around but as soon as you start doing anything or put extra clothes on it feels muggy and uncomfortable.

Started cloudy, then the sun came out and it's been hot and horrible here.

If you look on the lightning map, there’s a raging storm over northern Spain and the bay of biscay right now. I assume they’re expecting it to move up our way overnight
 
I do like a good light show and, when I was younger, used to go out and stand in one of the alcoves at our local library just watching the sky light up while it was it peeing down. :)

That Tuesday we got the record was a nightmare! We were actually going on holiday that day, and Spain wasn't much better. Urgh!

Very nearly bought one of those black and decker aircon units from Amazon. 10,000 BTU for £350 I think. Just a pain they are big, noisy and have to have the vent out the window.

Yeah I'm certainly not used to it all the time, other years have been the odd day but nothing none stop day after day, yeah saw Lincolnshire broke the record in July, so weird wasn't it to feel like you were in Egypt up in the north of England, we got to 39 which was something I wasn't prepared for just how hot it was, luckily next day was down a lot.

Yeah keep thinking about a aircon, shame not possible to have something that didn't need to go out the window.

I’ve been following the storm for a while and I don’t like it’s track. If it stays the same I think it’s gonna miss us and pass up through the channel and back into northern Europe (Netherlands, Germany)

I hope so! I love a good storm. We had some absolutely epic thunderstorms back in Joburg.
 
Muggy and hot here, honestly feels like the hottest part of the day.

Problem is I'm going to have to close my windows too tonight, due a thunderstorm in the early hours.
