It's too hot :(

4 days of cool weather after a month of record breaking heat and people are complaining its the worst summer ever! Its hilarious. Brits moaning about the weather, it never changes.

Do not fear its back to stifling humidity and heat by the weekend and record breaking heat is sure to be back on track soon enough.

I agree but the way some people talk about the extremeness of the weather, how long have we got before 50 in the UK is a thing, who's actually right are these people who say we are at the beginning of such extreme weather patterns coming in the near future, are they exaggerating things or is there some truth in it and if so why the hell are we seemingly doing zilch about it and still have all these things going on that are further polluting the planet just because it makes rich people richer.
You've seen the temperature charts for the last century right? Basically since the 80's the average temperature has been on an upward curve and in my experience its accelerating. Nobody gives a flying **** unfortunately or willing to sacrifice anything of their own creature comforts to want to do anything about it.

Maybe it's because we don't all live where you do? Zero record breaking heat here or anything else that usually defines summer.

Summer is almost half way through and we've had a week of it. We're having another year of what I call 'Sprautumn'.

Yeah for sure massively accelerating as each year now we break records for hottest, you are right majority of people want to see us get hotter weather it seems, only don't realise that if we become like Spain or Greece, it might mean they don't need to go abroad on their hols for the sun sure, but it only means the hot places now get just too hot and become inhabitable, not to mention the drastic effects of the whole eco system being so effected that soon life on earth becomes seriously in danger and certainly will be far from how we have been used to, I think something like Madmax will be how it will be, but oh well as long as I can get a decent sun tan for a couple of years then I'm happy seems to be the logic of most Brits.

That said there seems ideas float around to somehow reverse climate change but seems to lack major investment to actually getting things changed faster in my opinion nowhere enough is been done, I'm remaining still with hope that we finally wake up someday and act before its too late.

Wheee, actual wet stuff outside for a change (though I'm sure it won't last). Better write it in the diary as it's so infrequent here. That, and top temp of 18c ... it's almost nice :p

Didn't you guys get record temps last year? About 10% higher than the previous record.

We had very high temperatures for 2 days then back to high teens. If you're not in the south east then you don't really getting a summer.

June this year was the warmest on record in the UK, with all 4 countries also recording their warmest June on record. However people moaning about temperatures need to look at the average highs in this country, 30c isn't normal and never has been.

I don’t want 30, just a steady summer of 24-28 degrees sunshine will do. There’s just no sun atm, it’s thoroughly depressing
