It's too hot :(

I suffer from SAD so it's actually quite foreboding for me thinking about the winter ahead without having a good summer to help get me through, it's like looking down a dark corridor, all I a can think about is March when things feel better again, it's very depressing this weather, I really hope a miracle happens and we have an Indian summer.

I've been in the same boat. In fact I've been using my SAD lamp these last couple of weeks as I've been getting increasingly cranky and withdrawn. Came across a conversation on Reddit where a few users were discussing it also, and they pointed out that relief from SAD hadn't been much of a thing this year due to the fact that it's felt like 9pm at 6:30pm for pretty much all of the last 6-7 weeks. I'd noticed and mentioned this to my partner a few weeks back but didn't think to reach out my lamp, but I have now and it's helping quite a lot.

looks like summer has arrived , cant wait to sleep tonight :(

After 7 weeks of autumn during peak summer, a single day of temperatures being back to normal is going to be that bad? It's currently warmer outside than inside here as my building simply does not warm up by multiple degrees in the space of a couple of hours. In fact I don't know of anybody's house that does that. There's always a couple days before the warmth gets inside.

OT: Really must get used to hitting the multi reply button

Do you live in a metal shed?

Older building with thick walls , current temp outside is very nice it's not even that warm, so can imagine what's inside if outside is 22c+ and the nights are very uncomfortable

I feel your pain my house is about 10 years old when the government did a new build insulation drive.
It’s very uncomfortable in the summer every window open and some how the house is still hotter then the outside

With a well insulated house you're supposed to keep the windows shut. Open them for an hour or two in the morning and get the internal temperature down a bit, then shut all windows, blinds, and curtains. The temperature won't rise much if the house is well insulated.
