It's too hot :(

23c last night in the house so not unbearable, another hot one but a massive amount of dew for the grass/plants in the morning, was towelling car windows down before heading to Dante's inferno (my distillery)

I shall spend the day relaxing, maybe a glass of wine in the garden at lunchtime, a nap etc. The joys of being retired on a lovely day. :D
Have to say though, I absolutely love early (6am) mornings on days like this. Perfect temps, and you just know it's going to get hotter and hotter.
Yeah that's why I go training at 6am, it's cool, it's fun and I can crack on with my day and enjoy the sunshine. I'm working from home today for a change so in the garden. Bliss.

My very early morning routine now involves opening all doors and windows wide open to get some cooler air flowing throughout the house, it works too as the temp indoors drops a few C. Then about now closing all the windows and drawing the curtains/blinds to keep the heat/sun out.

Was a heatwave one summer couple of years back, went to a caravan on the coast, and was completely different, steady cool breeze and was overall very pleasant, where you are at the time of the heatwave makes a huge impact I think, mostly due to proximity to sea air and level of wind.

Where I live there is usually no wind when we have hot weather, not even a breeze. I live in the middle of the country, in a city, and to top it off, my street is lowland, basically all directions is up hill I am like at the bottom of a bowl, which I think heavily restricts wind.

You ain't alone also bang in the middle city heat isn't fun , early morning is lovely just slowly gets worse through the day

One positive- don’t need to code check the salad section for a few days.

Though we can use our initiative with reducing things - but not taking the p***. As several packs of leeks had today’s date on them. I don’t reduce them to the price recommended on the handset. I knocked off another 20-25p off the handset price.

Im sure our initiatives are helping. Last week, there were about 32 packs of stir fry veg with the same date. If I reduced them to the handset price - lucky to get 6 packs bought. But had 6 packs left on the day.

What is going on local supermarket out of cherry tomatoes
