Me too, years before I've liked the odd September warmer weather but summer this year has been so hot it would be nice to have a break from 20+ every day, that said lol hope its a mild as hell winter as going to be tough on the wallet if a harsh one.

But I will concede it's nice to be snuggled under a duvet in the evening. Not looking forward to having to wrap up this winter since we're going to be careful with the heating. I'll be using the fireplace a lot!

We have a dozen pair of thermals for the kids and us too! Which will make some of you reel in shock! :cry:

I don't much the hot weather. It is 19:30 here and 22C. A more pressing problem is the lack of rain. We had a few spots this morning. Just a few. The grass is drying out. We got new turf on our back garden. We did water it daily but now there is a hosepipe ban. I hope it rains soon..............

Thought you could still water new laid turf even in a hosepipe ban. Up to 28 days or something after its laid.

Yeah it’s a huge storm here, loads of lightening.. was woken up by my stupid house alarm having a fit due to a power cut, it’s raining like absolute hell!

I could see a big storm on the horizon, probably just east of Salisbury, when I was driving home not long ago - doesn't seem to be anything in that location on the lightning map though.

We had a pretty decent rainstorm though about 11pm.

EDIT: Funny looking out my window I can just about make out the flashes from very far off lightning in my peripheral vision but direct vision can't distinguish it.

Going slightly off topic. Anyone know much about New Mexico in the US, watching Breaking Bad again, do they get it reasonably cool there or something, every character you see in it is always in a jacket or hoodie, sometimes with tshirts under shirts jumper and a jacket Walt wore in one scene, I thought it would be scorching hot there and you'd never need a jacket in the daytime, I know deserts get very cold at night though.
