Ok I'll concede that the non a/c underground was less pleasant, a lot of people dripping with sweat. I do feel for people that struggle with the heat, but honestly it brings out the best in me.

Horrid night, I had to change pillow case 3 times, and sheet twice due to sweat in a single night. Have got towels ready now for future nights to soak it all up.

Curious if this part of the country ends up with a long miserable heatwave for several weeks in succession like it has done in the past, as this summer has started differently to the last couple of years.

My first summer with black out curtains, the room temp seems low for the sweat produced (25.7C).

Well usually in this country, at least in my part if its summer and hot, humidity is high as well.

It’s not that high. It’s 24 Celcius here at 65% Singapore it’s midnight 29 Celcius and nearly 100% Rhodes in Greece same temperature 75%
Orlando 34 Celcius 65%
London 27 Celcius and 45% Humidity.

Its actually the same pattern as last year cold wet spring leading into june heatwave which is pretty much on par with recent years, last years abrupt change to wet and cool july/august was an aberration its pretty much continued the tendency to heat otherwise leading of course to record temperatures in '22, wouldn't be at all surprised if this year breaks that record

Yep, the towel on top of my pillow was soaked this morning too. It's got to that miserable time of year for those that hate the British summer heat/humidity.

Air con is now back in active use as of today.
