I've just watched the Premier League Champions elect at Anfield

Put it this way Liverpool were bloody lucky to get the draw today, watched the highlights after i got back from the NFL game and it put a dampener on my evening to learn they got a draw out of it...although the Giants won:D. But tbh they are lucky those scousers to get that result...very lucky not to get hammered by Arsenal.

Still feel Arsenal need a proper out and out striker though ie a fox in the box to put it bluntly. Too many wasted chances today from seeing the highlights but cant be too disappointed i suppose. We still top the league, just hoping that when we come up against Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool again...we hammer them.

don't talk about fox in the box, always reminds me of Jeffers :o;)

i've always hoped Anelka would find his way back to Arsenal but it will probably never happen.

but you're right we need a clinical finisher because VP is always going to miss games in the season by the looks of it and you can't rely on adebayor for goals even though i like him for what he brings to the team. haven't seen enough of Eduardo yet so it's hard to get a line on him at all.

Not having that, Toure is flaky as a very flaky thing, Gallas has as much footballing ability as John Terry (IE not much) and the two full backs are fairly average.

You must be joking!! Toure is by far the best CB we've had since Big Tone left the club. Flaky is not a word I would ever dream of using for him. Gallas may not be the most skillful defender around, but he's solid and is excellent at reading games. Sagna has impressed me so far, seems better than Eboue. And to say Clichy is average is just plain wrong. Even when Cashley was still at the club, word from the club was that Clichy was better than him at the same age and I can see why now. The fact that we didn't miss Cole at all after he left speaks volumes for Clichy.

Only against the weaker sides? We can only play who's infront of us and we've beaten Tottenham and Chelsea this season. We've beaten Roma and Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League. We've scored 16 goals in 4 games.

As for Hargreaves not getting a game for England? I think you're incredibly uninformed, unaware, blind, bias or just being stupid. He has played every game for England since the World Cup bar when he's been injured of which yesterday was his first game back since a long layoff.
Arsenal don't play Football any better than us. We were quite simply the best team in the league last season (by a long way) and in the last few Premiership matches we've also been the best. We've had serious injuries this season as well as new faces.
Carrick was the lifeforce in the middle of the pitch last year for us after Christmas, his performances were World Class. He started poor this season, but after a Man of the Match performance against Chelsea (one of those 'poor teams' you were on about earlier, clearly) then a strong performance against Roma until an injury put him out.

Edit: As of only playing well against the small sides, could you please inform me of the top sides Arsenal have beaten this Premiership season?

Meanwhile, Liverpools only top performance of the season was against the side currently holding the Premiership up, Derby. So you might want to look at yourselves before commenting on only performing against rubbish sides.

Someone buy this man a drink, you got it spot on.

Toure is class, Gallas is class. Sagna looked a bit suspect to me, Clichy seems very good going forward.
I don't think it's the best they've had though if there's one thing you can traditionally say for Arsenal is that they're normally defensively sound.

At the moment i don't think United or Chelsea would swap our back four for Arsenals, And Liverpool would probably only be after someone to replace Riise. then again i don't necessarily think Arsenal would want to swap their back four for any of ours.

Arsenal are doing what Arsenal always do, and the same tactics that beat them in previous seasons will beat them again now, this current team isnt a patch on previous squads, they have one outstanding player in Fabergas, and the rest are not even close to the quality of players like Pires, ljunberg, vieira, Henry and Bergkamp.

Liverpool proved it today, Liverpool are a poor side that cannot compete on any level with the footballing ability of Arsenal, but the managed to shut them out for almost the whole game, it was only Carragers increasingly dodgy defending that let Arsenal back into it.

The same Tactics Man U used last season would mean we would do the double over the mancs again, and the physical tactics don't work much either, we've proved that against Bolton, Blackburn and the scousers.

Arsenal do play some great football at times. They played very well at Anfield and in my view should have won. Rafa got the tactics wrong towards the end.

Sometimes though, it annoys me with Arsenal they have some great chances to have a pop at goal but they try that final 'killer' pass too often which usualy ends with the attack breaking down. I would like to see them taking more chances on goal. It was shown in the Liverpool match. They tried to pass it into the net, it got too congested sometimes in the center of the box or just outside.

I cant wait for the game on saturday. Its going to be the best 2 sides in England head to head. If you think about it, both the defences are have been great, ours slighty better. Both teams going forward have been great too.

I think if we hold onto the ball and play it around, not let Arsenal string a few passed together in the first half then we do have a chance. I think it will be extremely close whichever way it turns out.

If its anything like past history, Its your drubbing season this season.

I am not sure if I agree with that, two shots off the post, two open goals missed and a penalty denied. The shots off the post were just plain bad luck as were the open goal misses, I bet both would score 9 times out of 10 so I wouldn't say we didn't have enough chances. So called better sides have come to Anfield and not created as many chances and dominate Liverpool like we did so I was pleased overall with the performance.

Sagna looked a bit suspect to me.

He has been solid at Right Back thus far. Exactly what arsenal needed, hes already showing to be a lot more solid than Lauren. He also seem's to happily run up and down the line all match. So far, hes been a really good buy for Arsenal.

Saturday's match is so important for both Arsenal & Man U - Whoever wins that game will have a massive physcological advantage and I think the fans of the winning team can then claim bragging rights but for now, based on this season so far, there's hardly anything between them.

My belief is that Arsenal will win. For many reasons and a my usual strong sense of forsight. 2-0 is the scoreline i'll go with. My Sunday morning coffee will taste so good.

9/10 is a probability for every chance.

No - surely it means out of 10 shots nine will go in (according to the quote anyway)

It would be great for either side to win - but thats about it, after 11/12 matches nothing is certain at all

Arsenal did the double over us last season - yet they werent even close come May. Yes undoubtedly it will be a lot closer this year, but even with the game in hand thats only a maximum 6 point advantage at best and they will be losing a couple of their best players for the ACN for a month or two, not to mention any bans or injures for the remaining 70% of the season

We only lose one good player to the ACoN, Toure. Eboue will go too but he is less important and can be replaced.

in statistical terms it mean 9/10 for every shot.

EG: u flip a coin, 1/2 chance head. but that dont mean for every 10 flips, 5 will be heads, its each flip has that pobability

Look at the wording of the original quote - its not probability its stated 9 shots out of 10 - no real arguement
