dirtydog said:Muslim forum members you mean? Because that is the point isn't it
Or if we look at it a little deeper we find ....Geoff said:But the bit that really tickled me was "its just disrespectfull to goto another contry and expect everyone to understand you". The British are really good at going elsewhere and expecting exactly that. Ask the Spanish about the British proclivity to move into a part of Spain and set up little enclaves, expecting English to be spoken, English food and recipes, etc.
@if ®afiq said:So Muslims should protest against any killings that other Muslim's do?
Why haven't Christians protested about 7/7? Do they approve of what happened?
Why must only Muslim's protest? Are they guilty until they do so?
Do you protest against any/all imorral acts carried out by Christians/Athiests?
dirtydog said:If there was a mass protest by Muslims against extremists within their ranks (as it were) then it might help them to better integrate into the UK and show the rest of us that you disapprove of the attacks. If I moved to a Muslim country and Christian or Atheist white people of British origin bombed buses and trains, I would want to show the natives that I wasn't of the same mindset.
VIRII said:Because as CLEARLY STATED in my original post if we are to believe that the 7/7 bombings are AGAINST ISLAM (as we are so often told) and the MAJORITY OF MUSLIMS ARE OPPOSED TO THEM then why wouldn't we expect a similar reaction to that seen over the cartoons or the veil.
Or to put it another way why are cartoons and/or comments over a veil so much more of an insult to Islam than murdering people in the name of Islam?
Or when a muslim murders in the name of Islam is he not actually insulting Islam after all?
Spawn said:As for the sensationalists in here Virii and co that is...the protest has been cancelled. I wonder which part of that statement you didnt understand clearly....
Pfft, don't try too hardSpawn said:Praise the lord, at least someone has seen the sarcastic lacings in my post.
Hold on . . Why should muslims who are all classed as 'Terrorists' brown nose their cause? Who bloody gives a crap what people like virii and cbs think?VIRII said:Because as CLEARLY STATED in my original post if we are to believe that the 7/7 bombings are AGAINST ISLAM (as we are so often told) and the MAJORITY OF MUSLIMS ARE OPPOSED TO THEM then why wouldn't we expect a similar reaction to that seen over the cartoons or the veil.

MookJong said:Stupid argument, just because there wasn't a big protest doesn't mean they agreed with the bombings. When was the last time you were in a protest about something somone from your community did....exactly? However you might be inclined to protest if the government said something you found offensive.
Agreed and your post reinforces my own post earlier.VIRII said:....So the type of cliched comparison usually made between an Iranian immigrant coming here and a wealthy Brit going to Spain to retire is rather pointless and inaccurate.

Your argument is flawed . . "If you're not guilty go march" Jeez.

@if ®afiq said:I wonder how many forums members joined a protest about 7/7?
To show everyone how lethal muslims are?VIRII said:ROFL.
Why do muslims demo at all then?
[muppets tune] ...... [/muppets tune]
By the way claiming a line of argument is flawed is not enough to make it flawed nor have you answered the questions raised
VIRII said:Sensationalist?
Why is it ok for everyone of your posts to take a swipe at me?
Can I call you a religiously blinded ignorant Islamic fanatic then? I doubt it and I don't do it so how about you mind your own posting because I am more than happy and far more than capable of responding in kind.
Oh and what exactly was sensationalist? I simply spoke of the capability to arrange a demo so what on earth does it being cancelled have to do with anything I stated?
VIRII said:OOoh stupid argument right back at ya. What quality reasoning.
So cartoons that were never printed here cause a massive fuss and demop on our streets but murdering in the name of Islam doesn't?
WHY?
Alternatively why do they feel the need to demo over the veil comments and cartoons. After all just because they did not demo doesn't mean that they aren't happy about it.
Thats the thing really, people demo to say "we are angry about this" yet they were clearly not angry about 7/7 .... or is there some written law that says "thou shalt only demo if you dislike the Govt" ?
If white Christians were a minority and relative newcomers to this country then the analogy would be validMookJong said:Maybe they don't associate themselfs in any way with the bombers it's like saying why don't all Christians start protesting when someone kills people in the name of the KKK.
dirtydog said:If white Christians were a minority and relative newcomers to this country then the analogy would be valid
The rationale has already been clearly explained several times in this threadMookJong said:I don't see how being a minority newcomer affects your right to protest?
