Jaguar I-Pace Thread

It's pretty much their only properly announced/released option. Tesla have their own competing tech, same with GM. The only other option would be Nissan, but I'm not sure what their aim with Propilot is.

I wonder what the order is actually for. Stock, or some form of stripped down version based on just the drivetrain and shell?

Sorry to bump an old thread. I've been looking for a new car and thanks to Fox has me convinced me a 6GT is the way to go but this is a left field contender that I'd never thought of until I browsed NHS leases and saw they're pretty cheap and come with insurance/tyres/servicing/recovery.

I've never considered one but they tick a lot of boxes (4WD, decent spec available, decent enough boot space).

Any common issues?

Looking at NHS lease the two stand out deals are:

S spec - £340 a month
HSE - £480 a month

Big difference in price, not sure the HSE is worth the extra given the base spec S seems to have the basics (LED headlights, AWD, sports seats, same performance).

Any experience welcome.

Does it say model year on NHS? I assume if the batch of already built 700 the NHS has? The 18” are good for range but look awful. The recent 21MY spec has a much nicer 19”.

HSE will also give you Windsor leather which is much nicer, keyless entry, matrix lights which are awesome. I’d be inclined to stretch to the higher spec.

It says "Current Model Year 2020 vehicles" and must be delivered by October.

Check for heated seats. In a BEV they make more sense for warming you than warming the air in the cabin, and I believe they werent/arent standard on the S.

Thanks I'll have a look now.

The price of the Etron is pretty unbeatable I think under £300 a month with insurance/tyres/servicing/recovery but the range is poor. Probably not an issue for me as we have a second car we could use for the odd long trip.

The Etron is also the largest which is why I was looking at changing my 5 series saloon to a 6GT.

Its by no means perfect but it costs almost as much to fuel and run my current car as it does to lease the Etron.

My E-Tron Sport is being delivered on the 1st September, so not too long to wait. It was between that and the i-pace, but I prefered the Audi.

Personally, it seemed the better car.

Nice, I think I'll bash an order in. If it doesn't suit the wife can have it.

Its a shame the base spec is the only really good value buy on the NHS deal.

Do you have a link? My mum is after one and also with the NHS. Thanks.
