He really wouldn't. Pav is utter garbage.

That he is, but I think Saha is worse, as Pav can finish when presented with a chance. To take him on an 18 month contract is madness, I could maybe (well hardly) understand taking him on a 3 month loan as back up for Ade for the remainder of the season, but to have him hanging around, most likely in the physio room for 18 months is stupid.

Happy with our transfer window so far, hopefully Milan will stump up the cash for Tevez. I would hate to see him anywhere near City again.

Onouha and Bridge all out and also RSC/Adebayor possibly on permanent deals.

Pizzaro looks a handy player, certainly on a free loan he is a good player.

EDIT: AJ to Everton , very much doubt that considering he is are only winger unless we are signing Cerci.

Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Japanese youngster Ryo Miyaichi has signed on loan from Arsenal for the remainder of the season.

Gash, how many times do our first teamers have to be entirely embarrassed by our backup/reserve players in preseason just to see Wenger ignore them then send them on loan :(

Ryo looked so far ahead of the likes of Walcott and Gervinho in preseason, he looks like a really decent winger, yet doesn't get given a shot. For basically 3 or is it 4 years now Vela has made Walcott and others look crap, yet gets ignored, Bendtner the same. Basically everyone always looks a mile ahead of Walcott, and several other players and we don't see them get a real chance.

Wilshire looked as good as he did last year, the preseason the year before, got ignored, then to Bolton where he was instantly very good, then we finally used him the next season.

When we finally used him, we also absolutely over used him, ignored a freaking injury, several times over several months, and then we rush him back just to get reinjured, you can't make this stuff up, how to mismanaged players, the ultimate guide, by Wenger.

Vela has looked useless every time I've seen him, DM...

Yes, player in form when joining the club, he looked VERY good, player getting 10 minutes in one game, 2 months since his last game...... doesn't look good. Not even slightly surprising. He frequently just doesn't give people a chance. Fergie's no girl about it, he gave Obertan a chance and a few games, didn't show much, didn't get much after that. Anyone he actually buys, or anyone he thinks has a shot gets a chance and a few games.... Wenger buys guys in then gives them 30 mins after playing basically no games for a year and then goes.... you suck and sends them away.

Problem is with say Vela he was on the bench a lot so wasn't even getting reserve games. Same with Eduardo, he actually looked much sharper in preseason and cup before he finally became almost first time just before he broke his leg, when he was still excellent. After his injury he never got anything close to a run of games.

Vela IS an excellent player, but Wenger did the usual, buy a striker, give him barely any game time, force him into a new position, expect utter brilliance.... ignore till he beg's to leave. Other little issue is say West Brom bringing him in expected a left winger and he played deep rather than as a front man. In a 4-4-2 with a good support striker he looks brilliant, on the wing, or lone striker he won't look great.

Then you've got the really simple thing, Walcott given unwaivering support is utterly awful, and Vela looks better than him with no form, no match fitness and out of position.... how would Vela compare with 10 games under his belt, support from the manager and match fitness. He's better than Walcott at his worst... at his best, we've only seen it a few times and he makes Walcott look like an absolute turd. I'd MUCH prefer to give Vela 10 games, see if he does come good, THEN get rid of him than persist with Walcott who we know is utterly useless. One is TRYING to improve, one is going no where.

Vedran Corluka has joined Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen on loan for the rest of the season

Shame, I really liked him at first.

I can understand why you would want them as both Rodallega and Saha are better at playing the Adebayor role than either Defoe or Pav. But for you to sign both, at least one of Defoe or Pav would have to leave, I'd assume. If you're playing one up front and VdV behind then 4 strikers is a lot, 5 is just pointless.

Agreed.. Guess i'm just not a fan of Saha. I was impressed with Rodallega last season, but less impressive this term. Having said that, he'll bang a brace tonight. Times up for pav as far as I'm concerned.

Spurs have had an 'enormous' offer for forward Loic Remy turned down, according to Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune.
'In January, I have two deals to manage. That of Lucho [Gonzalez], who wanted to leave, and that of Remy, who Tottenham wanted to sign.
'I do not think any other president in France would have refused the enormous proposal the London club made.'

Not sure if he is saying that has happened today, we were rumoured for him a few weeks ago.

It would have been a decent signing I think.

Everton confident on getting 2 more players, not including Manolas... I'm going to be breaking out that gif again... :D :D

Newcastle have made a final bid for Adrian Mariappa. But it's believed Wigan have came in with a bigger offer for the Watford defender...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Jelavic has left Goodison without signing!
