Well apparently Pienaar is on his way to have a medical for a loan deal. :)

Haha I don't know, probably end up ruining Jelavic like he's done everyone else. :D

Chelsea are making huge strides towards meeting UEFA's FFP regulations. Annual losses down from £70.9m to just £67.7m.

Whether the strides are huge is yet to be be seen but the expections are high:

Chelsea FC plc today announced record group turnover of £222.3m for the year ended June 30, 2011.

The increase in revenues from the previous year's level (£205.8m) was in the main due to higher receipts from the UEFA Champions League together with a rise in income from the central FAPL television contract relating to overseas broadcasting.

The loss for the financial year was reduced from £70.9m to £67.7m.

Match day receipts and commercial revenues have held up well in the face of the continued economic turbulence faced by the wider economy.

We are well aware of our obligations under the UEFA financial fair play rules and expect the current year's profit and loss account to show a significant improvement.

The main figures were:

·Group turnover was up from £205.8m to £222.3m

·Loss for the financial year was reduced from £70.9m to £67.7m

Chief executive Ron Gourlay said: 'Achieving a record level of turnover is satisfying given the economic background against which we are operating.'

Chairman Bruce Buck added: 'The club is focused on complying with the requirements of Uefa's financial fair play regulations while maintaining its ability to challenge for major trophies. We would expect this to be reflected in our results for the current financial year.'

The Italian transfer window has closed so there's no chance of Tevez joining Milan. Who knows, maybe we can persuade City to give him to us on loan until the end of the season.

I was being sarcastic. There are no strides, Chelsea having been saying the same things for countless years but nothing has changed.

Yeah but its totally going to be different for City because they've stated a plan to break even....... its totally different to Chelsea's and not at all pie in the sky :p

The quite funny thing is turnover went up 20mil, and their losses only went down what 3mil..... so their spending went up 17mil.

This is what City fans, and the City board seem to be ignoring in a painfully obvious way, their wages will go up yearly and like Chelsea, they can't make up the MASSIVE gap in match day income to Arsenal and Utd. Sure their bogus sponsorship will get them maybe closer than Chelsea have gotten, not close enough though.

THe Chelsea people who are refusing to let the stadium be sold are absolutely screwing their own club. Because Roman might make a killing in the property market to offset spending 300mil on a stadium....... they won't let him do it, ungrateful *******. He comes in, spends billions wins them a load of stuff, turns them around, saves them from going under AND wants to build a massive stadium....... in return he probably wants to make some of that back(it won't even come close to breaking even for him) making some profit on the land the current stadium on isn't exactly unfair...... but chelsea fans want to screw him on that as well.

If I was Roman that might be the straw that made me dump Chelsea.

read about marin to spurs in the telegraph today. anyone know if this holds any weight?

pav also apparently had a bust up with bond in training so shouldn't be around much longer. shame.

just read about saha and corluka. we are well depthed in attack and corluka is our only natural rb cover. so yeh, i can see the logic there :rolleseyes

Spurs are literally doing nothing apart from having a bit rejected for Remy and now going after Saha. :D

Arsenal to sign Thomas Eisfeld 19 year old from Dortmund, rumored to be having a medical at the moment. I guess this will be confirmed shortly anyway as the window is nearly shut. Pitty its not Gotze! Ah well another young talent cause this is what we need! 6 goals in 12 games... Maybe he will replace rosickynote

Didnt see anyone mention this but yeah it has been confirmed . No idea what he is like though

400k compensation we have to pay. Pitty miffed that Ryo has gone out on loan though, thought he would get some game time on his return!

Arsenal fans been hyping about Ryo for ages now, maybe able to catch a glimpse of him finally...

Been injured a fair amount to be fair to him.

By the way that's 6 goals in 12 games for Dortmund U19's or something, not their first team :p

Without selling a player we couldn't get anyone over 21 who wasn't homegrown. Looks like he was a summer signing, but they managed to get him a few months early.

You've signed that random striker though haven't you?

Pgoapdogjoadjo, yeah. Still rumours of Barrios though..but god knows.

Zamora to QPR is so bizarre, it must be more than the rumoured £4m, because we wouldn't let him go for that surely. Although, if we want to adapt a new system, Zamora probably doesn't fit it and he has been a bit moany and not trying that hard for the last few months...

Possibly for Fulham today;

Lucas Barrios for £8m from Dortmund
Marvin Sordell from Watford.
Chantome from PSG.
