Wilshere promises to stay at Arsenal forever...

thats him gone in Jan then :p

Why you looking to sign him you greedy ****'s???:p

Its nice that he wants to stay with us forever but the lure of bigger wages and a chance to win trophies is going to be hard to resist for the lad.

Our main priority is getting RVP to sign a new contract at the moment i think along with a few decent defensive players for a start.

I was under the impression he got a new deal..

Nope as of yet he hasnt signed...hes still got circa 18mths left i think on his current contract from what i heard last.

Wouldn't get in the team  :p
Nah, he is a top player and will only get better but i just cant see a slot for him.

Cue Wilshere is better than NDJ, Barry and Milner

Oh im sure Mancini would fit him in somehow, i mean hes scored what?? 28 goals in 26 games...you cant deny those stats can you???...im sure Mancini would be able to rotate him in the squad if given a chance:p

Wilshere is probably better than those 3 that you have at the moment...well infinitely better than Barry thats for sure lol...

I’d certainly welcome a couple of new decent CBs at Spurs, possibly with Bassong going to make way. As much as I love King they can’t rely on him all season. This is a good run he’s having now but it won’t last – sadly and I wouldn't trust any of our current defenders (inlcuding Dawson when he's fit) to be as well organised without him in the side and finding a like-for-like is going to be tough. Cahill – not sure. Otherwise I’m quite happy what we have.. Maybe some concentration lessons wouldn’t go a miss :)

My guess is Levy’s holding back funds until the summer and possibly a new manager.

Am expecting Gomes, Bassong, and one of Defoe and Pav to go, depending on who Harry can get the best price for. Would be suprised if Cahill came in, but it'll probably be one of Cahill and Samba, or, considering the rumours around today, Vertonghen to replace him. Theres also reports that Amauri has already signed for us, but that one doesnt add up to me. Old, big money, almost certainly not first choice, definitely not a Daniel Levy signing.

Just hoping they dont try and play the wait and see game again, if we're still there or thereabouts in January, we really need to spend a bit and make sure of a spot in the top 4.

Players promising to stay at clubs is just really daft. They have everything to lose and nothing to gain. Arsenal fans will think "Oh that's nice", forget about how nice it is, but keep it like a sword hung over his head should he ever consider, heaven forbid, to go and join a team to win something, make more money, play in a different league, any number of valid reasons for switching clubs. So then not only would he be a dirty merc, he'd be a liar too. Wilshere is an immense talent, but he can't see the future. Does he still want to keep that promise if Arsenal drop out of the CL and show no signs of winning anything for the rest of his career? Or if he's consistently paid half or a third what he can get elsewhere? Footballers careers are short, and promising to stay at one club unless you're above 90% certain they'll be competing for top honors every season paying the best wages is a pretty poor way to maximize your time.

There was something in yesterdays "Green'un" (Sports paper in sheffield) saying Danny Wilson is trying to get PIG for Sheff Utd. I can't imagine that happening, not in a million years. Not that I wouldn't love it mind, It can't be hard for him to beat Simonsen to be Number 1.

Fulham rumoured to be after Amauri and Gignac, I'd really like us to sign Gignac out of the two, especially as it was all set on deadline day till about 30 minutes before it shut and Marseille pulled the plug. Fulham really need a goal scorer, and possibly another midfielder in the Murphy role...god knows who that is though. Apparently the deal for Bryan Ruiz wasn't the £10m+ quoted and was nearer the £7/8m mark, and was in instalments so I assume Fulham have a bid of cash to play with.

I'd like to see us offload Bassong and Pav and bring in a decent frontman, Defoe's a bit hit and miss lately, and the Arsenal / City reject we have on loan will soon get bored and start underperforming as is his way :P

Seriously though, we could use a decent Marquee signing up front, i think thats the one thing were missing, imagine where we'd be if we had signed someone like Aguero or even Suarez.

My 2 cents

Si (Spurs Fan obviously)

hmmm

Theoretically MU shouldn't need to buy a defender since they have:

Evra
Fabio
Rio
Vidic
Jones
Evans
Rafael
Smalling

That means they are covered in all positions.
