January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

I'm not certain what season Moyes began, but here is a breakdown of Evertons spending:

2012/13 - £14m (so far)
2011/12 - £8m
2010/11 - £1.5m
2009/10 - £20m
2008/09 - £17m
2007/08 - £19.25m
2006/07 - £7m
2005/06 - £27.6m
2004/05 - £11.25

Total = £125.6m

I would hardly call that nothing...

If you take into account how much he's sold, it probably doesn't work out that much. I'm guessing that's what he meant

found this about net spend up to 2012:

Everton slipped that one in under the radar.

Same with Rodwell, it's very strange how some times nothing comes out, like this and Rodwell but Jelavic and Mirallas people got wind of it days before it was any where near SSN or proper news outlets.

 Just ignore what we've brought in from selling players then...

That's quite normal. Remember how Benitez was always criticised for spending gazillions at Liverpool despite spending relatively nothing net?

There's a different narrative with Moyes though. Mostly set by Everton themselves, it suits Kenwright to play the no pot to **** in card and everyone goes along with it. Whereas it suited Hicks and Gillette to go around screaming from the rooftops about how Rafa got shed loads of money to spend, everyone went along with that too It's all spin. Better sometimes to act poor to get good deals. Sometimes not the best idea if you're trying to attract top players.

Everton fans ignore the fact they have the the highest wage bill of the also ran midtable teams as well by some considerable amount.

Break down the extra amount they spend on wages and add that on to his net spend figure and its nothing special.

Arsenal will not sign anyone of note. Don't know why i get my hopes up every window :(.

Highly unlikely if we will sign anyone this window unless its a last minute thing. Wenger did say as much the other day on SSN that time is running out and it looks increasingly unlikely that we will sign anyone of note. He'd rather concentrate on getting our injured players back into the squad rather than sing new ones :/

What over all the Moyes years. I'd like to see you show that stat or are you talking about the recent stat which showed our wage increase in the last 12 months?

I'd quite like to see your proof that in the last 10 years outside of the top 4 we have had one of the highest wage bills.

Rumour was Arteta was on over £80k a week and actually took a pay CUT when he moved to Arsenal. I'm sure there are others on £60k+ a week when players like Osman who probably isn't are playing way better.

Tottenham Hotspur have now agreed a deal with Schalke to sign Lewis Holtby in the current transfer window.Sky sports news.
