January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

11 million quid give or take then? Bit of a gamble yeah, but he seems to have stagnated in Italy, did well at Espanyol last season.

He is young though, don't we have enough of those??

Coutinho close to signing for Liverpool. A fee of €13M has been agreed.

Not worth 13M at all.

Sky Italia aside, every other source (UK & Italian) are reporting it as €10m/£8.5m.

2 years ago if you'd tell me we'd be signing him I'd have been over the moon, regardless of the fee, I've not seen a great deal of him in the last year or so but he's an exciting prospect

The Sunday Times has it as €10m.

So £8.5m-ish.
I read it from here and here. Both of them say the offer is of €13M, which is just €2M less than Paulinho's release clause. I did reed this on facebook though

BREAKING : Liverpool and Inter have agreed a fee for Coutinho of £8.2m with a further £1.7m in bonuses if the player reaches 20 appearances.

Coutinho will be offered a 5 and a half year deal worth just over £10m. Player to earn £40,000 p/w. Work permit has been submitted.

Might be that €13M are including bonuses and stuff. Seems liek the price is anywhere between €9M and €13M.
What would you say he's worth, btw?

That's fairly flattering...

Personally, he is worth around €7.5M. Here is why

- In his first season at inter, he showed very little. A lot of potential, but very little on the pitch.

- In his second season things were a bit better, although he struggled to be part of the first 11.

- He then went to Espanyol for a 6 month loan where he played very well. 5 goals in half a season for an attacking midfielder.

- He had a great start to the 12/13 season, but a combination of events (Sneijder coming back to the team and a formation change) made him lose his place in the first 11. When played regularly, he used to make the difference, but coming off the bench he was not very effective.

Personally, i feel that he has a lot of potential, and he will only reach it if he is a stable part of the first 11. Apart from that, I feel that he is better as an AMC rather than a winger, so I'm not sure how he will perform in that position. No doubt, if he does manage to express his potential, he is a easily a 20M player.

He is one of those players that has one amazing game, and then 2/3/4 meh ones. If he manages to have those top games constantly, then he will be great.
Give him 10 minutes to check Football Manager.
:D:D

Looks tiny?
5 foot 8 according to wiki. How he adapts to getting battered by the likes of Stoke is going to be his biggest test. I mentioned before that I read a couple of articles on him ever since he was first linked with us and the one big concern is that they say he's struggled to adapt to the physical nature of Serie A.

Considering the new manager at Southampton wanted him he must think he can adapt. He had him when he was on loan in La Liga.

And what would Southampton's new manager know about the physical side of the PL? He's only been here 5 minutes :p

I'm not too sure how interested Southampton really were either. A couple of journo's close to them didn't think they bid at all and it was being leaked by Inter to drive up his price.

Odemwingie has been tweeting about his transfer request.

I can understand the reaction of few Albion fans on my desire to leave the club.Real reason? Cos they once doubted my commitment. Cantletgo

Want to know why I wanted to quit top flight football last summer earlier than I wished to ? They know at the club.

Albion fans are not the only reason, but made it easier for me to decide to stay and try my best to forget about the disappointment.

I succeeded in doing that. But it's not getting better. Before bigger disappointment comes one day I better leave on a good note.

I am crazy haha adviser text saying don't tweet, it weakens our position. Doesn't weaken nothing ! When I want to do something, I Do it.

Professional way or unprofessional ? I do both. Doesn't change much. If anyone will lose it will be me. Sometimes one doesn't work. So pls

I was very professional about it as you heard our manager said before the derby. It was a game I looked forward to. True or not ?

If you don't want to know what's in my head why follow me then ? Unfollow please. Score u the best.Don't score - u bad. Where is the truth?

Season premiership "performer" Downing would struggle with the physical nature of Serie A (true he would struggle in youth football but thats irrelevent).

Odemwingie wants to move to QPR for one reason only $$$
