You know this is daft don't you? If anything once there is interest and you're happy to see him leave, saying he might be leaving encourages other teams to get involved, prices to go up and the move is more likely to happen.

There is a point where, before an offer, before negotiations, before agents and players talk with clubs saying he's not leaving means something, once City people met with Milan people, saying he wasn't leaving is just Mancini's special level of idiocy, its likely more to do with his constantly talking up Balotelli and insisting he won't leave during every spell of trouble the player got himself into.

Mancini quite clearly stuck himself in the "I'm sticking by Balotelli... you'll all see" bandwagon and wasn't ready to admit he was wrong.

He's come across to basically everyone around as a complete tool for pretending Balotelli isn't leaving... much like when he promised Tevez would never play for the club again, and all other nonsense he's come out with since he's been there.

When his own clubs representatives are talking with Milan and Juve, Balotelli is talking to both clubs and is in Italy, saying he's not leaving just proves you can't trust a word coming out of Mancini's gob, no comment if he doesn't want to talk about it means a hell of a lot more than either lying, or plain ignorance.

Do Milan and Inter not have much of a hatred towards each other anymore? It seems player don't think twice before playing for both clubs.
 
I guess we're not signing David Villa then? Haven't heard anything about it and after Wenger's outburst regarding the January window it seems unlikely he'd sign anybody anyway.

It doesn't look as if you're signing anyone, nevermind David Villa. :p

Wenger did say the current Arsenal squad is "a difficult one to improve", so who are you to disagree... :o :eek:
 
I think even wenger is risking it by not signing anyone. Can not strengthen current squad?

If everyone stays fit we have a team that can MAYBE finish 4th if luck is on our side.

We aren't going to win anything this year with this team and inconsistency.
 
Fulham apparently set to sign Urby Emanuelson from Milan on loan (no fee agreed apparently). Don't know much about him apart from the fact he was a left back and ended up on the wing because he can't defend. Jol must know about him though from Ajax.

Apparently (according to Fer's people) Fer deal has been put on hold because of a disagreement with the add on payments... Fer **** sake! Moyes is going to be ferious if this doesn't happen, he'll never fergive Bill!

He's been injured for 2 months, had to have surgery on meniscus, so I'm guessing they just want to make sure and change what ever appearance money they've offered. It's not as if Lescott, or Naismith had bad knees before joining us.

Or they're just stalling so they can announce it at half time tomorrow and do it in style without it being leaked before hand. :D :cool:

I dont think we will find out until the deadline passes. Wenger denies most things about transfers until they are signed up.

Never thought we would get Villa, it was just never going to happen for reasons on both sides.

Start of January Wenger was all about, Yes we are going to invest in a few players this january as we are lacking depth...

End of January...we are only going to get people in that are better than our current players...

There are hundreds of players out there that are better than our squad....

I have my finger on the rollieyes button ready, I cant see there being any good news. He would have to sign a World Class player to make any of the fans put a smile on their faces again.
 
Pfft. Looks like Nick Blackman is leaving Sheff Utd to join Reading. He's our best player, but Reading are stupid for buying a player that isn't good enough for the Premiership, and he's stupid for believing he's that good.

Stupids.
