January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

I'd be amazed if Wenger is stupid enough to let Theo go and if he does that Theo would even want to go to Liverpool.

He's a liverpool fan, and he'd get more money. He's the single laziest player we've ever had at Arsenal, outside of making noise in the press about wanting to start and give his all. He's barely a footballer when he steps out on the pitch, both in quality and motivation. Lennon/Bale, even that idiot SWP run up and down the wing like they are possessed, trying to get to every ball, fighting for it, Walcott doesn't even care. he's lucked into a ridiculously high paying job and barely bothers.

He won't play more at Liverpool though, factor in how much he's started in the previous two seasons, this is Wenger for some reason playing hardball with "you won't play till you sign". they are more likely to play him as a striker and ask less of him workrate wise, and he'll likely get goals, and without being asked to do creative work, which he's cack at, he'll even seem less crap and score more than he does now(if Liverpool can make stupidly easy chances for him).

I can't see a reason for him to stay at Arsenal tbh, more money, his favoured position, less work to do, and less being made to look a fool being asked to actually play football, and playing for the club he supports.

lol, Suarez's shots to shots on target ratio has been getting worse and worse. He managed a hattrick against Norwich last season as well and only ended up with 11 goals, yeah, goals wise he's a little ahead of last year but not much. Its taken him twice as many shots as RVP to score the same amount, and thats without moving to a new team this year, and has less assists.

At the moment City are struggling for goals, for coming up on two years, Suarez's goal scoring rate has been pretty poor for a player who takes so many shots and often shoots rather than setting his team mates up. If City want goals, then Falcao is both, more receptive to a move, at a club with debt and a proven incredibly prolific goal scorer, Suarez is at a club without any particular financial trouble, has a poor scoring record and has loads of other baggage to go with him.

I'm trying to remember how many of his recent goals have been tap in's as well. Does anyone really think anyone in the league couldn't have scored the goal he got against Chelsea, how many players have 10 shots against Reading and only end up with 1 on target and no goals?

40mil, lol, a guy who had a bit under 1/2 his shots on target the first 6 months, closer to 1/3 on target last season and is closer to 1/4 on target so far this year. Who got almost 40% of his goals in one game against a truly woeful defence, and the other 5 goals have had a few tap in's..... is suddenly regarded as one of the best in the league... its laughable.

He's a diving, whiny **** who in 2 years has rarely ever shown real top goal scoring form or instinct. Joe Cole likes to run around players and hog the ball and isn't very good at shooting either... and he can't even get a game. You can have all the tricks in the world but if you shoot constantly and can barely hit the target, you ain't worth 40mil.

How many times have we heard oh X knows someone at the club and he said 1000% we are bidding for Y and Z.

Not only would there be an uproar at Liverpool if you sold him there would be an uproar among city fans as he is not better than any of strikers, has a lot of controversy behind him and at 40m truly lol.

Arshavin to Reading seems to be gathering pace here. Both AZ (the new owner) and Pog have apparently spoken to him, he wants to stay near London so his kids aren't moved out of school, and while I don't know what sort of money he's on at Arsenal, I would imagine Reading would bend over backwards to get him in.

While some Reading fans aren't too sure about him and see him as a bit of a luxury player, I think his work rate especially is vastly underated and he could be a very good signing.

Lots of speculation of Zaha (amongst others like Rodriguez from Porto, Wanyama, and even a swap of Chicharito for Benzema) at Man Utd

Think Utd could really do with a player like Wanyama but I doubt it will happen

Quite a lot of the rumours appear to be rehashed (a certain Dutch playmaker transferring from Italy anyone?) for the nth time - would be happy Never to see his name mentioned alongside Utd's ever again lol.

I could see Liverpool selling Suarez if they can get £50m for him, it's the same thing they did with Torres really. Then they can go and buy another couple of Andy Carrolls :D

Suarez is Liverpool's only striker. He's regareded by Gerrard as the best striker he's ever played with and by the manager as the best player he has. Apart from Gerrard he's the only player selling shirts. He's the only Liverpool player scoring goals this season and pretty much all of last. He's only recently signed a new 5 year deal.

£40m? Dream on. Temptation may start at around double that...

lol

the only reason suarez looks half decent is cos no other liverpool player knows where the goal is!

i also saw someone mention arshavin to reading? criminal if that happens. with all due respect to reading, arshavin is a quality player who should be at a team pushing for higher expectations. i'd welcome him at spurs.

Suarez is hugely talented and his work rate is such that it masks a number of deficiencies in the Liverpool squad. In another team where he doesn't have to do as much running but will be expected to take his chances more clinically I don't think he would look nearly as good though.

£80m though? Hahaha. I wouldn't say his value has changed dramatically from what Liverpool spent on him originally, not that they would sell him for that of course.

Like Uruguay maybe?

I would say his value is much higher than the 23 million we paid for him.
