Sun with a story today suggesting Arsenal are going to offer 8mil + Theo for Sterling, would be hilarious.
Its embarrassing, in some interview Wenger is saying he's fed up, knows the fans are fed up, he speaks with Walcott every day but doesn't discuss contracts every day.
He isn't living on the other side of the planet to Walcott, if you want ot sorted it, get him in a room, and talk, if you can't come to a decision move on already and sell him. This time wasting rubbish of maybe he'll completely change his mind next week is nonsense. What planet is he living on, Walcott's lowest salary he'll take point will be based purely off the offers he'll of had from other clubs if he goes there next year. if say Liverpool have told him on the sly they'll give him 90k a week, why would he take less at Arsenal, if Arsenal aren't offering it, they won't get him, if the contracts going nowhere, why pay him for a year to barely play when we could have sold him.
Complete waste of time and money for this fictional situation where agents don't talk to other clubs secretly, and players have no idea what they can get elsewhere so might cave and take less cash.... its not going to happen, more proof Wenger is living in some fantasy land that has no bearing on reality.
He thinks Walcott will magically take less than he wants and has been offered elsewhere, he thinks his absolute failures over the past 8 years will reverse themselves under FFP... other teams have to spend less.... therefore our defensive problems will be magically fixed.... he's a deluded idiot.
Anyway, I'd take Sterling, he's got infinitely more ability than Walcott as a winger already and the potential to maybe become really good, Walcott is a dead end, tap in artist, sure, effective in that role, maybe, good footballer, never, in a million years never.
Hernandez has actually improved in only 2 years training with better coaches, a better team and in a better league.... Walcott hasn't improved one iota in 5 years, crucially doesn't think he needs to, and puts in less effort than almost any other player I've ever seen in the premier league.
