I think it is stating the obvious that he has his favourites, much like people on here have favourites. As an example, DM 'LOVES' Eboue but no one else understood why on here, he also liked Bendtner (me too) but not many others do. So its even more likely that a manager who sees these people on a personal side has their favourites. Could just be positive attitudes, who knows?
I think it is easily to sit back and objectively pick fault with selections when you dont have the world picking fault with you
I just wanted to make it clear, while he has his favourites, I was saying my dad(and I do aswell) think its deeper than just who he randomly chooses to like, I think its deeper than that. AS in he's a control freak and players that don't get on well with the way he likes to do things get shafted, and then he has his group of players who never say a word, don't speak out when things go wrong, don't complain.
This could be an explanation for his insane team choices, awful substitutions and freezing out of so many players. Maybe Eisfeld got taught to play actual football in Germany, and Wenger wants him to be a mindless athlete like Walcott and because he plays in a creative, exciting way, like Arshavin, Wenger just doesn't like them.
I'll also just highlight again, I said Eboue was much better than Sagna, than Denilson, Diaby, and Song and could play in the positions any of them could play in. He was miles above all of their level, currently most people don't rate any of them, at the time people were insisting Sagna was the best right back in the league, and on multiple occassions decided to interpret this as me thinking Eboue was the best player in the world. He's not, he's not half bad, he's infact a very good right back, most importantly he was better than the 3-4 other players in the position he likes to play, and yet another example of Wenger benching someone for no apparent reason for players who are far worse.
I do actually think Eboue is awesome in terms of what he did for the team, years before it was Ian Wright, a bit of a **** in reality but a upbeat personality that helped in the dressing room. Eboue is a joker, he's awesome, he was a laugh at the Arsenal open training days, and was the joker of the team, he was a huge personality. I forget the game but Cesc came back from an injury, scored a goal and ran over to celebrate with Eboue on the bench the same way other players have done with a physio after a come back. He was one of our better players but had a huge positive effect on the dressing room... when Wenger wasn't screwing him over that is. The thing in the world cup where he went over and pretended to listen and understand the, korean or something team talk was epic
Walcott is getting £90k a week from what i have read, so dont know where that poster got his info that he was on a £100k a week...thats hilarious.
Meh hes signed a 3 and half yr deal on £90k a week, can only hope that now he improves massively to justify £90k a week.
There is a report about his wages essentially in every paper, every football website around, they all say different things, anything from 90-110k, though 90-100k is most common, and fundamentally this is a guy who is bone lazy, a pathetic wimp, doesn't fight for the ball and isn't very good. 90k, 120k, 300k, its all insane for a guy who shouldn't be making 10k a week for the level of effort he puts in. 90, or 110k, it makes no difference to the absurdity of the amount or the fact Walcott is god awful.
In all seriousness, I think Wenger actually fell for the idea other clubs would have loved to take Walcott, and paid through the teeth, when most likely an extension at 60k a week, no offers from any other clubs, and he'd have happily taken it, just another sign for me that Wenger is losing his marbles.
