I think you guys get a hard time but I do think with one or two members, it's easy to see that they have no intention of adding anything constructive to a debate and are just looking to wind others up.
so i pick up on a comment based on stats and i'm dragging the thread off topic? don't throw stats out there if you don't want them to be commented on.
i found it interesting that one man solo should use welbeck as a benchmark. balotelli has played fewer games than welbeck and thus had far less minutes on the pitch. some of his finishing and especially his penalty taking is pretty sublime.
the bloke is a nightmare to manage by all accounts but that doesn't mean he isn't a great talent. not so sure i'd class him as overrated. in the right team and with a kick up the arse, he would be immense. i'd love him at spurs if he grew up a bit.
I'll ask again, why is comparing two players funny unless you're trying to suggest that OMS thought Welbeck was as good as Balotelli? Which he clearly stated that he didn't.
OMS used a goals to games stat to back up his opinion that Balotelli is overrated. You can dig all you like - it's clear to everybody that you were either trying to wind him up and/or that you stupidly skimmed over what he said and thought he was claiming that Welbeck is as good.

if you want to use those stats as a benchmark to class balotelli as overrated then it doesn't do welbeck any favours.
That's not necessarily true but so what? It doesn't make OMS post any less valid or yours any less stupid.
even though it kinda is so i'll round it off by saying what everyone knew anyway. welbeck is dirge, carried by others, balotelli is a genuinely talented striker who is an immature spoilt brat.
No it's not. Saying Balotelli is overrated doesn't mean you think he's ****. It simply means that OMS doesn't think he's as good as he's made out by some people - he could still think that Balotelli is a very good player and therefore that Welbeck too is a decent player.
