January Transfer Window 2013/2014 Season Rumours/Signings/KonoplyankOFF:(

I think he's saying the transfer is never going to happen, not questioning whether Alonso would be an improvement :p

Think United will get Reus, it should sort out the left side. Hope Kagawa stays and is utilised in midfield after he bulks up a bit. He could be our Modric so all we need is one powerful CM.
Coentrao, Reus, Koke in.

What on earth makes you think we'll get Reus? I certainly wouldn't object, mind.

And Kagawa, "our Modric", what?!

I would like a number of top midfielders to come in and thankfully DM seems to think the same. So it just remains to be seen how much money we really have to seriously go after the quality needed. I wouldn't loose sleep from the exit of almost any who we currently have. I just hope slight improvement from Valencia/Young wont put the target back onto Nani. For all his faults, a club can afford one luxury player and it must be him. He's too young, too poorly treated by managers and too talented for him not come good if given a real chance.

The other area we seems to be looking at id LB. The general opinion of fans is almost anyone but Baines. At his level, his age and the price needed, this would be deeply unpopular move for the fans to accept. More so considering just how loved Evra is.

If we are smart, think a deal could be done for Shaw. We could allow him to stay where he is for the season and could include Buttner as a ready made replacement :D Heck, I could see Zaha having a strong spell there too.

With the january window not being great and the issues that hurt our chances of getting the really big names, it's important we fight tooth and nail for that next level talent imo.

Pick any player from the top two or three teams in portugal and Utd have been linked with them in the last 6 - 12 months lol (certainly seems that way).

Would like to see Koke arrive but cant see it happening before the summer at the earliest. Alonso signing for Utd is as much a pipedream as Fabregas, it just isnt going to happen however much available he is (rumours sugest he wants to head to italy).

With all the commercial activity Utd have done in the last 18 months I cant see why signiificant sums shouldnt be available, but it does depend on how much (if any) the Glazers have been taking out recently.

Buttner, Varela (because of rumoured homesickness) , Anderson and Nani should be some of the first to go , I just hope Utd dont expect too much for them and we get stuck with them for at least 6 months longer.

edit - I laughed at the Barkley rumour, thats even less likely than Alonso in this window.

Asks the person comparing Hazard to Kagawa ....

And none of the players mentioned should have any more of their career at OT, too much of the squad is full of ****, need to shipped out and replaced with players who will actually benefit the squad.

So the papers report we are able to spend 50 millions this year,

The first and only way to start this spend is by sacking and paying off David Moyes. See reasons below:

1, Fellaini. Where to begin? Firstly paying over the buy out clause price is retarded by anyones standards. Secondly, how could anyone pay this much for the Peter Crouch of midfielders? Sure being tall etc is nice, but we want people who can play football as well? Unfortunately what was Moyes first signing is probably UTD's most costly and worst. Chelsea wont bale us out of this one by ponying up 15 million down the line..

2, Zaha. Our brightest prospect pre season. Looked great in every way. Suddenly hes not ready for the premiership? He looked plenty ready. Personal Vendettas are not a good thing for a manager to have. Put your daughter away at night pls.

3, Ross Barkley. Now, David Moyes being the ex Everton manager should have known this. Why would you spend 30 million on Fellaini, try to spend 15 million on a 29 year old left back and NOT try to buy the hottest English prospect at their club?

Overall, I think D Moyes was expecting to get fired. He's delivered 30 million to the Everton coffers for an average player and left their crown jewel intact. He was probably thinking, Plan B, i'll leave Everton safe so when I get booted out and Martinez fails at Everton I can ride in on my white horse, triumphant in defeat. Yet with a strong squad and bolstered by the absurd amount he managed to get UTD to pay to Everton already. He'd be a hero back on Merseyside. Except Martinez is doing even better than Moyes and that door might be shut for at least the time being.

For those reasons alone he should be fired. He cannot be trusted to buy any other players or spend any money.

And I've not even covered the footballing reasons in this post, just the basics on modern transfers.

Unbelievable. Id put you on ignore, but posts like this ^ are far to amusing. Ultimate drivel.

How has he been? Was fantastic at Bologna, and I don't watch a lot of Southampton.

Other than scoring v Everton and in the mikey mouse cup he hasn't done anything. He's hardly made the match day squad and when he has he has been an unused sub, even during massive injury crises.

Most fans have given up on him but I'd still like to see him have a run of starts to see what he can do but MP doesn't seem a fan. He's been a massive waste of money in transfer and wages so I either hope we decide to use him or try and make most of it back.

Id really like to see him and Osvaldo start together but I don't think we'll ever see it.
