You're not going to find many people agreeing with you Daze. Coutinho's fantastic, if not quite on top of his game, and potentially world class. And Mignolet's been a revelation, I'm not sure where you're getting 5 mistakes from.

You could say he was at fault for Chelsea's 2nd today (but not a howler by any means) and vs City but he's won us far more points than any dropped points in these last 2 games. His kicking isn't great but he's as good as shot stopper as anybody in the league.

And there's no way Flanagan's got a long term future at Liverpool. He's had a couple of good games but he's a very limited footballer and generally a rash defender. He'll go the same way as Stephen Warnock.

Agree with this mostly, for the 2nd I would say its more Skrtels error, no way should your man be getting 2 yards ahead of you on the edge of the 6yard box. I can think of the howler vs Man City as his only real mistake? Not sure where 5 came from though.

Flanagan is a strange one, reminds me of Carra when he was at FB in his early years. He is better at getting forward that Carra was though, to quantify, I don’t mean with the ball at this feet I mean he seems quite intelligent in his off ball running. Gives me palpitations when he passes though.

Murmurs of Balotelli to Chelsea, far from anything concrete though. Would make sense in some respects, if he's consistent he's pretty damn good.

Rodgers supposedly told the press today that we're not after him. We might have some news on Salah soon though.

Whilst he would be far better than anything we currently have I don't think he's the sort of player JM would want in the type of team he's trying to build, we need a 'Rooney' type.
I doubt we'll be getting anyone in this window anyway, we've spent loads already this season and contrary to popular belief Chelsea are more frugal than they used to be so the inflated costs driven by desperation in January will hopefully put us off.
Unless of course someone like Falcao becomes available then spend, spend, spend!

Jose liked him as a person by all accounts but I don't know if he'd want to work with him again.
I could be wrong but I think Rafa got rid of him or he was at least sold when he was in charge.

He said 'There is nothing imminent' when pressed on Tello. Would be one hell of a signing if it all comes off.

He gives a 2nd press-conference with just the written press after the televise one and according to a Mirror journo, said we weren't signing him.

He could be lying of course.

Shaw isn't going anywhere, nor is Lallana.

Ramirez will be out the door (somewhere in Italy on loan).

What? :p

How has he been? Was fantastic at Bologna, and I don't watch a lot of Southampton. Rather watch Arsenal/Tottenham tbh.

I get the feeling that he has become an average player, but not amazing.

My dream January transfer season for Roma:

IN:
- CM for rotation (Obiang, Nainggolan, Parolo, Capoue)
- LB as a starter/rotation (D'Ambrosio)
- Strong CB for starter/rotation (NOT Heitinga. maybe N'koulou)
- Don't think we need a striker, but Sanabria (also linked with Arsenal) looks good. 19 years of age and just 3M.

OUT:
- Burdisso. Its a shame to see him go as he is one of the older players and always gives a 100%. I just feel he is not at the required standard.
- Dodo (Loan). he has been playing better recently, but still not too good. he needs to start weekly with a mid-table Serie A team (less pressure) and next season, get rid of Balzaretti and have him as our cover LB.
- Romagnoli (Loan) Looks promising, but he needs to play. Get him some first team football at a team like Torino or Sampdoria
- Taddei. Too old. No place in the team although he gives his 100%
- Marquinho. Good team player, but he has played just 3 times this season. not really needed.
- Caprari (Loan) Another quality youngster who needs to gain more first team experience. I would love him to get more time at Roma, but Garcia won't play him.
- Borriello. High wages and very little play time. Send him to Tottenham or West Ham. No need to have him here.

This will leave us with

De Sanctis; Maicon, Benatia, Castan, D'Ambrosio; Pjanic, De Rossi, Storrtman; Florenzi, Totti, Gervinho

Skropuski; Torosidis, CB, Jedvaj, Balzaretti; Obiang, Bradley, Ricci; Ljajic, Destro, Sanabria

I guess you can keep one out of Marquinho/Taddei just to have that extra cover in CM or as a winger. Although since Roma have no European competition, no need to have many players.

Roma have pretty much gotten Abner (anyone heard of him), 17 year old left back) from Cortiba for €5M. Quite a lot if you ask me. He also tore a cruicate ligament in October (?). No official statement though. Also heard that they reached a deal of €7.5M for the co-ownership of Nainggolan, but I don't believe it one bit. Also, too expensive.

EDIT: Reports in italy suggest that Guarin is going for Chelsea for around 16M. Not sure if £ or €. Inter and Napoli want Lamela on loan. West Ham want Borriello. Even Tottenham were mentioned, but they now have Adebayour.

Any good Man Utd transfer rumours going around yet? All I've seen the last day or two is that we're all set to offer £50m for Ross Barkley. As if. :o

We have been linked with At. Madrid's Koke for ages who would likely be an improvement, but wouldn't be cheap (if he even wanted to join).

It does sound as if Ilkay Gundogan will be leaving Dortmund, so we should break the bank to get him, if possible. Real Madrid the likely destination, as usual.

Tony Hibbert's joining Utd on a 3 month loan. I know you're wondering why it's for only 3 months - Hibbert gets sun burned very easily and can't play when the weather gets nicer.

The sun burn stuff is no joke. Hibbert, supposedly, had to be subbed off at HT in the FA Cup Final because he was suffering with sun burn.

if that's the case who's on the way out, Alonso ?, Kahdeira(already bid on him).

All this talk of unlimited funds available I think is bulls balls. There is talk o a confirmed bid off £30m for Koke at Atletico Madrid. The fee mooted is on par with that of Fabregas. So is there that much coin available ?

Alonso's contract expires in summer I think. Maybe he has already made it clear that he won't sign a new deal?

Unless Alonso is a complete Roger Hunt like Ince, Alonso will not sign for Utd. Great player, don't get me wrong but he won't strengthen Utd's midfield
