Have Arsenal signed half of Germany yet?

Well the latest rumour i heard is that we were looking to bring in Miroslav Klose on a loan from Lazio :o

Looking more and more likely its DraxOFF at the moment, Schalke's top guy is saying Draxler isnt moving this jan and he could be at Schalke for some time yet. Still not losing hope that it could possibly happen but we really do need to get some reinforcements in before tomo window close.

A lot of talk about regarding ManU in talks to secure Toni Kroos before tomorrow's deadline. Again sounds like last day shenanigans, but who knows, look at the Berbetov transfer...who incidentally is reported to be angling for a return to Spurs.

A 92.8% accuracy in his pass rate that fella(Kroos) has so far this season...amazing.

Not going to happen

Kroos doesnt want to move before the summer ( if at all), but will consider his options around WC according to some reports

Seems like Utd hwve offered around 12m to Porto for an average sounding Argentine defender but this deal going through relies on City Not offering enough for Mangala/Fernando combination €50m ~ (and the former being a crucial part of their title chase)

Edit what Im not sure about is that I thought City, like Chelsea, are ~ - £50m in regards to ffp, which I thought was borderline in the first place ( which is one reason why Chelsea had to sell Mata before agreeing to both Matic and Saleh deals in the same window - effectively breaking even over this window approx). So City nearly doubling that just from one combo deal, even if a lot of clubs appear to be chasing the centre-half), would appear unlikely

Would be great to have him. It's well documented how poor our midfield and part of that is ball retention. So 90%+ Pass completion rate would be a welcomed addition. Capped at every level and 41 senior caps by the age off 24, not only is he ticking all the boxes, hes creating a few more and ticking them as well.

I just have a feeling that this deal won't happen now or in the summer. I see him signing a new deal at Bayern despite his very public deliberations he is in no rush to sign anything yet.

Would love to be proved wrong mind :)

Germans rarely leave Germany, he's angling for a new contract I imagine, he's a bit miffed that he's nowhere near the top earners.

I don't want Townsend or Holtby to leave Spurs

If we're going to let anyone go it should be Capoue and.... that's about it. Even then he shouldn't be going anywhere after less than a year!

50 mil!!!??? They must value Mangala at 40mil then which is silly money.

Or on the other hand you look at Rio going for ~£30m nearly 10 years ago at roughly the same age.

Of course you can debate the discrepencies in the two players experience (ie Rio moving between clubs in the same league compared to moving countries, joining direct competitors , ) but £ for £ I would guess £30m then was worth a great deal more than it is now

We've signed some 17 year old Czech goalkeeper and apparently in to sign Suarez (Mario) on loan. :/

Boss work this Bill and Bob.

I wait with not much hope for a last day signing to seal our push for a top 3 finish within touching distance of first place......

I agree.

I asked this question about Pjanic - why would he want to leave?

Kroos is at Bayern.
First team player.
He is at the best club in the World.
Leading the league.
Probably another champions league medal this year.
Apart from money (which Bayern should be able to sort out out this Summer), why would he want to leave his current club?

I think Man Utd fans need to be realistic and shouldn't get their hopes up.

Moyes is doing the absolute right things (finally), he is showing the World that he is attempting to buy the best players in the World. This is absolutely the right thing to do. It shows other players that Man Utd have ambition AND the money to back it up.

Moyes was VERY poor in the Summer transfer market, but is definitely making up for it, now. In the Summer, he was going for average/good players (not good enough for Man Utd). Now he is going for good/excellent players.

What I want to see is Moyes use more attacking tactics (we have Rooney, RVP, Mata) on the pitch and with these players, you can't be defending against lesser teams. What we saw against Sunderland was truly shocking.

He was a bit miffed when he got subbed against stuttgart, threw his gloves to the ground while walking past the bench, and refused to fist bump someone leaving them hanging while walking off down the tunnel. .

Well done for naming three players that were either unavailable or out injured vs Sunderland.

If Kagawa and Carrick hadnt gone off injured during the match, that result would have been different (unlikely for the last minute goals to start with to go to pens).

The most shocking thing about the match was the squad players level of fitness. a lot appeared dead on their feet before even the 90 minutes were up.

Personally I think Kroos might be gettable (as long as Utd get CL next season) in the summer, but I just had the feeling it was never going to happen in Jan whatever **** the press wrote.

The other thing that might help persaude Kroos is IF Moyes can get Reus at the same time (even if Kagawa goes in the other direction).

Sane league, English, playing for rivals, better...yup, can definitely compare the two.

Insane money for Mangala...meanwhile Chelsea set to sign Zouma for 12....
