Ben Smith BBC said Ayre was in the Ukraine and Fallows hadnt gone with him.
EDIT: He's also just said there would be no deal for M'villa in January. I'm not surprised really as there hasnt been a single credible link.

No he hasn't. He's said he still has things he'd like to achieve with Lyon...he hasn't specifically come out and said he doesn't want to transfer to us.

Not really sure why anybody would want to live in Newcastle as opposed to Lyon anyway, plus Lyon are regular fixtures in the champions league...

Why would the transfer fee make a difference to whether he'd want to come or not? We've sold Cabaye who WANTED to leave and managed to get very good money for him, and we clearly want this Grenier lad but it has to be at the right price which reflects his worth. If it comes out that we offered £10.5m and they only wanted £11m and this means we miss out then I'll be massively ****** off but we have no evidence for that at all except tabloid garbage and unreliable Twitter feeds.
At the end of the day, we'll pay him more, he'll be in a better league, we'll improve his game, and we'll guarantee him a move to bigger clubs when the time is right.
The 2 loans were the correct decision as well. Remy could go down for rape FFS. And De Jong hasn't performed too well since his move to the Bundesliga, you wouldn't be happy if we paid £10m for him only to be a total flop!
Remy should have been signed permanently, he showed last season he can deliver in the PL. Now he's shown it again with us, his price has gone up! Also the rape charge has been dropped btw.
De Jong I agree, I don't think he'll succeed with us, if you compare him to Cisse's stats in the Bundesliga! So as a short term "fix" then it's a good loan signing. He'll hopefully provide a target man in our 4-5-1 system.

Sorry, I can't say for certain if it has been dropped or not and I can't find an article to back that up. The last I read was the hearing had been postponed until February 2014.
Makes no odds, he was arrested on suspicion of rape and a court appearance was hanging over his head when he signed with us on loan. It was the right decision, and by all accounts there is an agreed price if we want to take it and QPR haven't been promoted.
De Jong was never wanted by the manager at his previous club, the lad has barely played and last started a game in April 2013. Not a fair reflection on his ability and what he can potentially do for us.
This wouldn't make much sense considering Spurs are currently one of our rivals for 4th place. Nani is capable of some quite incredible things on a football pitch at times. I'd rather we held on to him for now and gave him some chances where possible.
It also seems Schalke are staying firm over Draxler, they clearly want Arsenal to pay more money.
I think thats much more accurate myself - although I wouldnt loan him to Spurs either.....unless Ericcson was coming the other way (for example ) lol
