The only thing you have right is I genuinely couldn't remember which way around Rosicky was, came as a left winger and was pushed into the middle, or the other way around.
I did mean left wing, they didn't get played there often but they were terrible and Wenger continued to do it when he had other choices. Not sure what your point on Gervinho was, I said when Giroud WAS starting to hit form Wenger dropped him again, didn't say anything about the beginning of the season, nor does it change my point, he randomly changed him between left wing and up front. He's not a lone striker and has never been one, he's crap there, he plays almost exclusively down the left for Roma and has found his form again..... the point is playing him in a stupid position he wasn't built for, upfront, which we shouldn't have as he's crap there.
Vela was not good enough for Arsenal, yet when he played he was good. Go back and see how many minutes he played, it was effectively none, I think in Wenger's most generous season he had 2 league starts or something, he got 1 goal. He got 10 mins here and there 12 times in the first season miles apart with no match fitness. YOu categorically can't say someone wasn't good enough if they literally didn't get to play. In his 3 starts for West brom he had 2 goals and 1 assist. You can't score or assist from the bench, the second Vela was playing at West brom or Sociedad or Mexico, he played well. When he was used in the cup, he played excellently.
5 goals 3 assists in 6 cup games in his first year, 1 goal 2 assists in 3 cup games his second year. When he played he was good, he just wasn't being played.
Henry being made a winger by Wenger at monaco is widely known, but thanks for using your lack of knowledge to accuse me of making something up, stay classy.
Kolo hardly played at DM, where did I say he played there loads?
As for the other success stories, Lauren played and won the Supercopa with Mallorca against Barcelona.... at right back. We bought him as a defender primarly and he played occasionally to cover injured players in midfield, I can't find out what position he played for Cameroon in their olympic win before he joined but I suspect it will be fullback or DM. So no, not another successful change.
Likewise, FLamini..... playing him at left back caused him to leave the club, where he left to be successful in his actual position for years at Milan, where he came back to play successfully at Arsenal...... Had Wenger never played him at left back we may have had him at Arsenal all these years being better than anyone we've had in the meantime......... again I would struggle to call that successful.
To be fair, Gervinho often played so poorly on teh left, we might as well give him a go up front when we were lacking in options and when he did at the beginning of the season, he did score a few goals. It wasn't disastrous but it wasn;t a long term solution and Wenger realised that. Great, he's found his form at Roma, he couldn't do it at Arsenal playing the same position in a vastly better league.
You're saying when Vela played he was good? Don't give me that. The only times he looked promising was during the league cup matches where we used to trounce championship teams with our youngsters. He showed nothing to indicate that he could hack it in the league so why should he have been allowed to start league matches???
Lauren was playing as a midfielder for Mallorca, Wenger said as much in an interview (might be him discussing his 'favourite 11') and thought he could turn him into an effective right back which he did.
Flamini playing at left back did not cause him to leave. What are you smoking?!? Flamini played left back during 05-06. Flamini left summer 08 where we was playing centre midfield. he left because we were not showing any real commitment in keeping him and so he left for Milan. It had nothing to do with playing at left back 2 seasons before that, lol.
