I read something on redcafe saying that domestic bans still have to be served when the player moves, I can't find it now :/

They might do but he'd still be free to play for Madrid if they do distinguish between competitions for cards/suspensions. I'm just hanging on to a vain hope we'll do something here.

Hello Dan :)

It makes too much sense not to happen, Evra has been weak for a couple of seasons now, love him to bits but he looks burnt out. Real Madrid have signed a left back as well even after Ancelotti saying there would be no business.

Indeed, I really do think a couple of fresh faces will give the current squad a kick up the arse as well. Some players just don't look interested where as others have never look United quality but are still there :/

Transition is a bitch.

There is only one player I'd have wanted from Everton and that was L.Baines.
I could not believe it when we signed the big hair.
Whenever I saw Fellaini, the only thing which stood out was his height (he's tall, so can head the ball), his elbowing (fouls) and his hair. We didnt really need any of these.

We need to be aiming higher. We should be competing with Chelsea and Man City, not Everton, Tottenham or Southampton. Bringing in 1 or 2 top class players + 2-3 prospects (hope they come good) every year, should be our target. Maximum. Buying too many low quality players is no good.

I also want to point out that in the Summer, 3 big teams got new managers:

Pelligrini (2nd)
Chelsea (who are now 3rd)
Moyes (7th)

Moyes is not covering himself in glory right now.

Anyway, virtually every football pundit and player (even RVP), is saying that Moyes is the right man, so I have to trust that he is and has plan to get Man Utd challenging for trophies, soonish.

If Moyes does not deliver soon, I can't believe that the Glazers as businessmen, will allow Moyes any more time. They have too much riding on Man Utd.

City could afford to take a punt on Pellegrini (he couldn't do any worse than Mancini) they gave him a £200 million + squad to play with.

My Mrs could manage City. Got to say though, Negredo is looking like the buy of the season at the moment, only 16/17 million or something, old school hardcore front man.

Pelligrini and Maureen have both inherited excellent squads and both managers have manged top teams and have billions of ££ to back them up. Moyes has inherited a relatively poor squad and doesn't have the experiene of managing a top team. He needs time. Imo he should be judged next season, once he's had a full season to sort **** out

I saw an article about how Fergie knew the team needed a rebuild and couldn't do another 3-4 years, meaning Moyes has had to pretty much start again. Made a lot of good points.

First error he made was making RVP train with the rest of the team, he trained alone at Arsenal and alone when he moved over to Utd as he had to follow his own training schedule. Two injury free seasons

Moyes decided he had to train with the team...hows that working for him? :p

To be honest I was surprised they did it last season. RVP being injury free carried them a lot of the way.

But Moyes rebuilding involved changing Utd into Everton. Fellaini and Baines.

I will be surprised if he is still in charge in two years time.

There's definitely an arguement that Utd's squad wasn't as good as last years table suggested but it's not as bad as what some are now making out. Maybe Utd shouldn't have been expected to win the League but they should still be challenging at the very top of the table and certainly not contemplating missing out on the CL.
