Not really as he isnt exactly in Moyes' head to start every game either.

Just because x player gets a reported wage at a certain level, doesnt have any indication as to what a different player will get a year or two down the line (agreed by a different manager and signed off by a different chief executive)

Like Courtois, I think it's going to be decision time for Chelsea with Lukaku. He'll have 2 years on his contract this summer so they're either going to have to keep him (and play him) or sell him.

edit: And I think they'll want a fair bit more than the £15-20m you mention in the Moyes thread.

If we were to get Coentrao and a good even if not world class midfielder in january I'd be more than happy. It'd put us in a much stronger bargaining position for the summer if nothing else.
 
Wasn't costa scum etc when he was linked with Liverpool in the summer, now other clubs are sniffing around him he is the dogs nuts, it's like Suarez to arsenal all over again

I think the new deal in part was to protect us losing him on a free. On his day he can be a game changer, far too inconsistent at club level. Seems to find consistency playing for Portugal however. I don't think he would be short of suitors

I'm sure there would be clubs interested in him but as Moses touches on, will those clubs be able to cover his £100+k per week wages?

It's a common problem when bigger sides try to move players on. They're usually being sold to clubs that can't pay their wages and the result is the selling club pay off or subsidise their wage.

He's still scum but that doesn't detract from the fact he's a very good striker.

Sounds familiar actually.

Suarez still is scum but I'd love him at Arsenal. I'd allow him to spit on my Nan if it meant he came to us.

Luke Shaw to Chelsea? I guess they haven't ruined a young English player's career for a while
