Rooney getting a new contract for £300k a week, Mata getting a contract for £240k a week and RVP on over £200k a week if UTD don't qualify for the CL it could be very bad.

Those wages are alleged but pretty close from media reports.

Funny how figures like rooneys get cast in stone like they are the truth. Even when the deal was done it was reported that it was 250k with all the add on's and image rights. It's not like they are paying him 250k guaranteed per week as a wage alone.

That though doesn't look as good in the media. A day ago mata was signing for 140k per week now the figure is allegedly 240k. It was rumoured Mata was on between 70-90k at Chelsea. I doubt very much United are paying him 240k per week in wages.

don't see moyes getting anymore players this window but most likely starting to do the ground work so deals are in place for the summer will help him if he doesn't make top4 aswell

RVP is expendable? He could be our leading goal scorer into his mid 30's... but it does seem the training he has been doing at old trafford is causing him problems. SAF already knew he was injury prone and was lucky to get an amazing debut season out of him.

Now Moyes is left with an injured top goal scorer. An unsettled, cry baby, ego maniac Rooney, an aging team, and a number of overpaid/underachievers at UTD. Tough job.

The only players I would keep after this overhaul would be

Evans
De Gea
Carrick
RVP
Adnan
Rooney
Fletcher
Vidic

The Glen Johnson thing has come from Duncan Castles, here's the full article:
Can see why we would want to drop his wages given what's expected of our fullbacks, his fitness and age but moving to Man United? You'll surely look for a more solid defender or a younger, quicker and more future proof attacking fullback which you've already got in Rafael.

It would make more sense right now in time to sign an already established RB in Glen Johnson than some unknown youngster with future potential. Glen still has a good 3 or 4 years in him at the top.

Baines and Johnson as our full backs would be amazing but short term option ovbiously. :D

If they got the Glen we've had since early 2013 I'd want him to go, guess we'll see if he turns into the best RB in the country again after this injury is gone

I haven't been able to follow the transfer news this January, but is there any news about Liverpool signing a defensive midfielder? Or anyone for that matter, considering we've got a squad of about 15 people and we want to get 4th?

I think the funniest transfer story so far is that useless Peter Odemwingie who originally a couple of yrs ago tried to force a move to QPR in Jan then was told to go back to WBA. He then managed to move to Cardiff, only for him to be shipped out to Stoke with Kenwyne Jones going to Cardiff:D

torygraph reporting that draxler terms to be agreed in next couple of days, although that would be amazing, we need another Giroud!

We do but i think Wenger is thinking he is going to convert Draxler into a forward for us when he plays for us. Similar to what he did with Thierry Henry and to an extent RVP.

Personally id rather us get a decent striker/forward in as im not sure if the whole Draxler to forward switcheroo will work.

Is this for a jan move or summer move?

Who knows, it could be for this year although the lad isnt back from injury till at least March. Although it could be a tactical signing on the basis that if we tie it up now then we wont have to pay his buy out clause which is around 45mill euros iirc. So that would leave him open to moving to us in the summer once hes fully fit.

Similar to the whole Gotze and Lewandowski to Bayern deals done in the past yr or so.

either way, if Arsenal win the league, they will be able to attract pretty much any player they want under reason. Wenger has to be the #1 coach in the world right now to play under, who wouldn't want him as a manager?

I don't see them beating Man City however. City will likely win everything this season, maybe not the CL but domestically, they are favourites for all 3.

Benzema would be an ideal summer move for Arsenal.
