January Transfer Window 2016/17 - Rumours & Signings

He's not justified his transfer fee or salary, by any stretch of the imagination.

Personally I feel that's because he's been used poorly, and has had the wrong people put around him, so he'll eventually come good. But if the situation continues as is, he'll then move on and this period will be considered an expensive mistake/failure. Imo, obviously.

You don't justify that sort of fee in the first six months. Thats just ridiculous.

Rio Ferdinand was crazy expensive at £30m for a defender at the time but 10 years later it was money well spent. Pogba will be judged more on that sort of scale rather than some sort of instant hit.

But he hasn't been mediocre in any way...

Of course he has, he should have bossed every game and scored at least 10 by now - from the instant he was back he should have been completely unplayable.........

Seems like West Brom and Everton are after Schneiderlin for around £20m, hope we dont let him go for that little as we paid an initial £24m 18 months ago. Should be worth £25m at least given the additional money everyone has now, not like thats a lot of money these days.

Did laugh when one national newspaper called him German

Well stupid transfer rumour season has well and truly begun.

Arsenal being linked with an audacious move for Fabregas...excuse me while I laugh uncontrollably hahahahahahahahahahahaha ohhhhhhhhhhh hahahahahahahahaha.

Fabregas can go jump off the highest cliff for all I care, do not want him back at Arsenal nor do we need him.

Maybe he would be if he'd played a game of football or two in the last year :p

he played the other night :D

In jan for the most part its those players that arent playing who are on offer anyway, and he is still at a decent age to sign a 3-4 year contract if not more, with the money around £25m is nothing. If two or three clubs are after him it wouldnt be an unreasonable fee to ask

(obviously if he is on insane wages that wont help Utd's cause and may have to lower the transfer fee)

Confirmed: Everton lining up January bid for CSKA Moscow star - http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor.../confirmed-everton-lining-up-january-12302643

Everton have made CSKA Moscow's Alan Dzagoev a January transfer target.

And the Blues were in discussions with the attacking midfielder's representatives this week.

Dzagoev was watched by director of football Steve Walsh on Wednesday night as CSKA faced Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.

West Bromwich Albion target unsettled Everton midfielder James McCarthy for £15m January transfer - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...dfielder-James-McCarthy-January-transfer.html

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has made Everton midfielder James McCarthy his No 1 target for January. Pulis tried and failed to sign the Republic of Ireland international last summer but is ready to revive his efforts and is lining up a £15million bid.

Everton looking to pip Real Madrid to the signing of Swedish starlet Alexander Isak but will need to cough up £14million to seal the deal - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nder-Isak-need-cough-14million-seal-deal.html

Everton are attempting to beat Real Madrid to the signing of AIK prospect Alexander Isak. Madrid are understood to have had a £9million proposal rejected for the 17-year-old though AIK are prepared to sell for a Swedish record of £14million.

We need players and lots of them in Jan, that's for sure!

The China thing isn't just Chelsea but it doesn't make sense anyway. I can understand having to offer mega wages to persuade players to go to China but why are the transfer fees so big? Surely Chelsea could have been persuaded to sell for half that price.

We don't need a Payet. I think a proper LB and either a top notch striker or if we're going to insist on playing Sanchez up top a left mid. Ox and Iwobi are not good enough options. Campbell back from loan would be nice too.

Are you serious? Hes a fantastic player in a poor West Ham side.

So fantastic that at 29 he's only really had one eye catching season in a different league. He has the odd good game, he was even poor against Liverpool last week, he just scored a free kick, heavily aided by Karius.
