January Transfer Window 2017/18

Again, how is wanting a move bad, and how is Leicester being crazy about the price a bad sign about Mahrez?

If Arsenal offered 50mil for Albrighton and Albrighton was like yeah, I'd like to move, then Leicester say 120mil... you blame the player for being a ****, and not Leicester for being unreasonable?

Why are Leicester being crazy? He was instrumental in leading an unfancied team to the premier league title, a former player of the year, and is in great form again this season. If people are throwing around silly money for van dijk, lukaku, etc, Leicester's valuation seems pretty fair.

This transfer window just ***** me off, klopp and fsg ruined it, we ain't even stronger yet teams around us investing

I was thinking about this today. I agree with Klopp's approach.

Your not competing for 1st place. You are in it for the 2-4 position. Klopp is basically saying we have enough to make the top four and I will spend the £140 mill in the summer.

That's a lot of money. Can by 3-4 top quality players for that amount.

He won’t have that 140m to spend. Some of it already got pre spent or he will spend a figure nowhere near 140m plus Liverpool’s usual transfer budget. What’s the actual breakdown of the fee Barca paid to club player and agent. How much does a club actually get left with on a deal? Or do they get to keep all the 140m?

You used to hear that stuff from united fans, well we normally have 50m plus now 60 million for ronaldo, only for them to spend nowhere near 110m in the next window.

Oops. Yea for got about Van Dijk.

Because Leicester have a wage bill of maybe 1/3rd of Utd, they can't compete, it was a one off fluke year and they already sold one of their most important players, who went on to win the league again straight away, for only 30mil. They aren't a big club, Mahrez did fantastically for them and he alone has no chance of getting them near another title but he at another club certainly could. He's not going to stay beyond his current contract because Leicester simply aren't and won't be good enough.

Also clearly they are asking for too much because in two windows clubs have been interested and told Leicester to shove it. So right now Leicester are pricing him out of the market and they will eventually, even if it's two years from now, lose out, but the player who gave them an unexpected title is also getting screwed.

A couple of things I picked up from that video - so many of his goals were scored from less than 2 yards out and came from good crosses. Shame Arsenal don't have a wide player who can put in those kinds of balls.

Also, how many of those goals were created by Dembele?

From this video I get the impression the Bundesliga isn't as strong as the Premier League.

I want to see less of those somersaults tho.
Of course it isn’t, that’s why I can’t really get all that excited by his signing. I hope he hits the ground running but the premier league is completely different to the German league. For a start the premier league is more physical and fast paced compared to other European leagues.

But at least if Mikhi and Aubameyang combine and score goals, we get to see the running man celebration makes its comeback :p.

Dont forget aubameyang has banged in goals in champs lesgue too against world class opposition hes not just a bundesliga one trick pony
Yeah like I said I hope he bangs plenty of them in for us. But Ozil and co need to help give him service, same applies for Lacazette as well.

And hopefully Mikhi can put some balls in for Aubameyang like he did when they were together at Dortmund.

He scored two against Madrid i believe. The issue id have with Auba is that he's a bit lazy...scores a goal but doesnt do a lot else.
Well I don’t think we signed him for his defensive prowess:p.

He will feel at home with Ozil as well:p

I think you are being very disrespectful, it's no fluke to win the Premier league over the 38 games, its was well deserved.

Other clubs have raised the bar in spending millions upon millions on players that aren't world class. Mahrez is a fantastic player, Premier League winner and Player of the year. Why should Leicester sell him on the cheap, they hold all the cards.

The only reason why Kante left for £30m, was because of a buy-out clause. If he didn't have one in place , the price would easily of been £50m+

Poor Mahrez, still a Leicester player. That’s 2 windows he’s put a transfer request and nothing has happened lol.

On the other side Leicester now have an extremely narked off player, who may now decide he doesn’t give a **** anymore and not play to his abilities.

Kante's price was due to a release clause in his contract. What does Leicester's wage bill have to do with anything? Or them not being a big club? Just because they won't win the league again, doesn't mean they should be happy or even grateful to sell their best players. They've given a price that they would sell him for, which in comparison to other fees is not unreasonable.

Roma offered £35m in the summer. City have offered nearly double that now. You're right, they should have snapped Roma's hands off in the summer.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Mahrez. He's spent the last 2 windows pretending he's about to sign for somebody in the hope that somebody does come in for him and the one time somebody does, Leicester turn it down :p

Last summer his camp pretended he was joining Chelsea in the hope that it would flush out interest from other clubs, on deadline day he then left the Algeria camp to complete a transfer that didn't exist again to flush out other clubs but nobody came in for him. Same **** at the start of this window where his camp were saying a deal to Liverpool was done when we had no interest in him.

I feel for him as well in a way. He's got a limited shelf life and his stock is high again now. If he underperforms in the last part of the season he may not get another chance at a massive club.

But equally I can see why the club have taken the stance they have. They have to hope that he can get over his disappointment, put in the same effort he did after the summer and get them into Europe. I'd guess they'd look to sell him this summer then.
