January Transfer Window

It will be Drogba and Mourinho at the San Siro, done deal

Not sure whether it'll be Italy or Spain DD goes too but he'll definitely go at the end of the season and if we don't replace him with a proper striker we'll fall even further behind Arsenal and Man. U.
I'm not that confident over getting Anelka in either as Stamford Bridge has been the graveyard of great and promising strikers over the years.
Fleck, Sutton, Kezman, Crespo, Mutu, Shevchenko etc all failed to bring what they promised and with only Sahar and possibly Philliskirk looking like they'll be able to take the step up in to Pizarro and Shevchenko's empty boots at the end of the season (hopefully) optimism is pretty low.

Laursen plus cash to Spurs with Defoe going the other way I can see happening. With Ramos not wanting Defoe and Laursen expressing he wouldn't mind the move (or to Newcastle)

great mvoe for spurs not so for villa i dont think, laursen is one of the better defenders in the league and villa could really do with keeping him

Hmm, as a Rovers fan im quite uneasy about the Savage move. He is (or soon to be was) one of the more tenacious, hard working players in our side. Seems to me like we will be losing a big part of the team, especially as our central midfield options currently consist of Tugay (still good but hes just not got the fitness levels to play week in, week out) and Aaron 'The Axe' Mokoena who is about as useful as a chocolate kettle.

Ive been browsing some other football forums and unfortunately there seems to be a small group of idiots who are calling for Hughes head at the minute. We seem to be in the same situation as Newcastle, not really in trouble but everyone is panicking as were not getting the desired results against the smaller teams. Hughes' actions in the transfer market arent exactly going to please this minority of fans either, as we are losing a midfielder and replacing him with a center forward. The 8th in our squad (McCarthy, Santa Cruz, Roberts, Derbyshire, Gallacher, Richters, De Vita).

Ideally we need a decent central midfielder, we've been linked with Sidwell but he may be out of our price range. Id love to see him brought in along with Matty Taylor to give Gamst a good kick up the backside. With the absence of Sergio Peter hes got no real competition for his place and he has been well below par this season. Weve been blaming the defense a lot recently but if the midfield dont do their job the defense are always going to be under constant pressure and eventually its going to crack (4 times last weekend :().

Hopefully our ins and outs will look something like this (though I highly doubt it):

Ins: Valeri Domovchiyski, Matty Taylor, Steve Sidwell, Lance Davids, Michael Lumb

Outs: Robbie Savage, Jason Roberts

No idea whatsoever. He's meant to be a bit of a no nonsence defender and was supposed to have done really well vs Everton earlier in the season but i can't say i really noticed him then, i wasn't looking out for him though.
