Japanese Grand Prix 2010, Suzuka - Race 16/19

Think he did just as the problem emerged, you could definitely hear a gear being missed at some stage. Imagine the call will have come in after he radio'd the problem in. It's fair enough I guess, better to bring it home than risk another non finish.

Yeah, you could see the lap that it went, the sector times just dropped off, Hamilton did a great job getting the car to the finish. Wouldn't it of been better for Hamilton to have used the old gearbox, or is that one well and truelly fubared?

I didn't mind Lee over the weekend, she did an especially good job yesterday filling time when qualy was postponed. However, she just told us the results of the MotoGP race for some crazy reason, was gonna watch it on iplayer later on.

^^^ That made me lol.

Was an alright race in the end, but couldn't believe the start with so many people crashing / being taken out. Looking more and more likely though that it is Webbers champsionship to loose.

Being a lightweight, I've just watched the recording of the race. May I say that Kobayashi is an absolute hero.

Opposite lock overtaking, round the outside of hairpin overtakes and the sorta guy who'll happily send one up the inside, even if he was in a different time zone. And he'd make it stick. :D

Without his antics that would've been a pretty tedious race.

...well apart from Massa making an ass out of himself yet again.

It was so nice with out that idiot Legard, he is slowly annoying me more and more.

It was a nice interlude, and then he came back. :(

if you paid me sure a hell of a lot of monies and you stopped her annoying scottish accent
Well, the talking thing is easy, duct tape will do. The money.. wait why am I trying to get you laid with Lee Mckenzie?!
Really? How would that work?
Yeh, I don't quite know, but I just rewatched him saying it and he seems pretty sure on the subject.

Just watched this on iPlayer with the assistance of the forum, whenever there was a 5 minute gap in posting, I was skipping forwards as obviously nothing had happened :p

Not a bad race all told.

*snigger* at Webber snatching faster lap at the very end.

Pity about Hamilton's gearbox, and Kubica's wheel - both made it a less interesting race than it could have been.

Did we find out what happened to di Grassi to make him crash before the race started?

Petrov has netted himself a grid penalty for next time out - five place drop. Massa not being punished following the investigation into his coming together with Liuzzi - I do agree with the stewards on that one, it looked to me like Massa was forced onto the grass on the inside of the corner (three cars aiming for a spot where only two could fit in a pinch) and once he got a launch from the curb he was just a passenger. Going to go ahead and guess that my interpretation of the incident won't be the prevailing one on here :p:D
