Point is he was never charged with any wrong doing whilst he was alive and nothing can be proved now he's dead. All we are left with is suspicion and probabilities which isn't enough for a criminal conviction. Let's not forget the dead are an easy target.
 
Look at what he said in the press a few months ago..

that peadophiles should be "totally forgiven". - What an idiot.

I reckon the victim caught wind of that statement and thought, hell no. All credit to them.

Or alternatively he could be completely innocent, but don't let that get in the way of a good lynch mob :D

Personally I would like to see everyone of these alleged paedophiles have their day in court just to see how many are proven guilty, and can be punished as such, and how many are just a victim of the "I made it all up because I want some money for the trauma" bandwagon brigade.

It must be very difficult for the Police to gather convincing evidence when some of the offences happened 50 years ago, leaving it upto a witnesses statement as the only evidence which then becomes the classic "He said She said", especially when it's so easy to make up a story without the need for anything other than a statement, so I'm guessing they must have some extremely compelling evidence if they've gone as far as to arrest him.
