Joe Rogan and Spotify

It's interesting the double standards of the media/cancel culture crowd.

They will call out racism on one issue but not on another issue.

Have a look at the latest SHOWTIME trailer for "everything's going to be all white"

The whole point of that video is to get peoples backs up. It even says its purpose in the first few seconds.

I'll watch Joe Rogan instead.

I don't believe he is gifting at all. My guess is that he distrusts lagre corporations, like pharma, so that's where it differs from the climate change issue.

He is also a fitness fanatic, and has criticised the government from the start for not promoting a healthy lifestyle and developing the immune system to help fight covid.

I do take the point that the issue is not totally comparable to climate change for the reason you say, but I don't think it really excuses his angle.
Because while I'm OK with people distrusting the motivations of the Pfizers of the world, what about the endless number of doctors and scientists on the other side of the fence?
I mean, we could say they are all greedy pigs with undisclosed Pfizer shares, but at that point any reasonable debate is out of the window because you can always summon some totally unrealistic mass level of shady motivation.

Maybe he's not grifting and is just easily led by contraversial characters. I mean he did go through a phase of not believing in the moon landings IIRC. And he seemed to genuinely believe Bob Lazar's ramblings about working on a UFO at area 51 and being visited by the MIB.

He has made good, though obvious, points on the importance of general health but I really think he needs to consider the vast reach of his audience here... I really felt like the 'just go hill running and get in your sauna brah' stuff was the result of being rich and isolated too long. After bashing the vaccines he then gets Covid and has a private doctor throw a kitchen-sink of drugs - some of which are also new/experimental, ironically - at him as if it's no big deal and everyone had tens of thousands of dollars spare for it.
It's dangerous stuff IMO.

Being generous, maybe it's just as Sam suggests, that he hasn't actually comprehended his level of influence and thought through the ramifications of it.

I'm in the same boat regarding UFOs as Rogan. In fact the first time I saw him was when he was a guest on RT News with Abby Martin. Talking about them. I was obsessed about the subject nearly 30 years ago, and my friend runs a very popular forum, but my scepticism got the better of me as I've got older.

I still like watching stuff though. Maybe it's part and parcel of smoking weed and doing hallucinogens.

I think you are missing the point. The "endless number" of doctors and scientists are speaking in an environment where one opinion is approved and thus allowed to have a voice on all the platforms.

This is in contrast to unapproved opinions. Experts who hold unapproved opinions will not be as widely available in a system that actively tries to censor unnaproved opinions.

In such an environment, we don't know if the numbers of experts is comperable since one group of experts is projected into the public view and the other group is actively silenced.

I posted a link where Fauci was caught trying to silence legit scientists who were publicly discussing herd immunity.

I have posted it twice in this thread and the authoritarian crowd said nothing...

Is the number of experts with unapproved opinions small because there aren't many of them, or is it small because unapproved opinions (and those who hold them) are sumarily squashed in the current environment?

Think I've heard more about DMT Joe in the past week than I have about Ghislaine Maxwell and the paedo elite in the past year.

Really shows where priorities lie...

Interesting video, worth a watch.
Here is a Juicy quote
Most science is not credible, it's not true, it's not believable, it's not useful, it's not actionable. It's done to inflate careers and often for profit entities.

Just because it's offensive, doesn't mean it's not true. It's a sad fact that black violent crime rates are much higher than white.
This was a post of two halves. The first half I was like okay, the second half I am wondering how the **** you got on to that topic based on the previous post.

There was a thread on these forums at some point where I said that I believed that Racism could be stamped out not just in the way that things are happening. There was another thread on these forums were someone asked why people were racist. Based on that thread and this video I have changed my mind.

Racism is here to stay. It is not going anywhere and I guess we all need to be comfortable with that. Racism breeds more racism.

I think it's an interesting area, and who can say for sure we haven't been visited - but what I will say it's Bob Lazar wouldn't have been involved :D he would have 'disappeared' many years ago if he was telling the truth.

<snip>

I get that, and suppression of free speech and debate in general is bad.
But I just don't think what we've seen with Covid is a case of a mass cover up of truthful but contrarian opinion.
I have two seperate family members who are nurses who have seen the impact first hand.
MD from Private Eye is, I would bet everything I owned, not an undercover pharma shill.
I personally know of other doctors/scientists who back the published stats etc.

Then the people I have on Facebook (at this point more an exercise in psychological observation than friendship) who endlessly post antivax memes and other crap, they are all over stuff like the Malone interview and they believe he is the inventor of MRNA vaccines, anything like that they will seize as further proof they were right along in some insane conspiracy theory.
Ironically the only thing they'll agree with the WHO on is face masks not working, which was a temporary lie to stop people mass buying them.
Not that I have much respect for the WHO with their kowtowing to China.

It's always useful to apply Occam's razor to this kind of thing. There could be a global conspiracy among virologists and doctors and governments to shut the world down temporarily and give everyone a covid vaccine. But why? And why would so many people follow it through without spilling the beans?

I don't know anything about Fauci as I only really follow covid related politics from the UK.

It's not about a "conspiracy" so much as the way people in power try to control narratives and all the leverage they have at their disposal to do so.

The Fauci emails highlight this.

I think though there were many negative aspects of the past (in the UK) with racism, I preferred the more upfront attitude people had back then. I don't mean the physical violence. But that people could make a joke about each others races. I think it opened up conversations because people were more honest with each other. Some people think racial thoughts through ignorance i.e. maybe never coming in to contact with someone of another race. Because of that they might make an insensitive comment. But back then people didn't jump all over the person. They asked them to explain why they thought that.

Today there seems to be a 2 tier society. The political and ideologs vs the common every day working man or the people on the dole. In the real world if a man does a robbery their colour would be mentioned in the verbal description. But in the political ideolog world the police seem to be actively avoiding writing the suspects colour these days, which hinders catching the criminal.

I'd rather have the inclusion of words rather than their disappearance. So in the past they might have only mentioned colour if the person wasn't white. I think they should add all colour.

But I just don't think what we've seen with Covid is a case of a mass cover up of truthful but contrarian opinion.

I'm not a fan with the situation in that respect - around the vaccines there has been some well meaning creative manipulation of the truth and attempts to silence people who've argued otherwise. For instance the insistence initially that they couldn't possible be the cause of certain side effects because they were injected into the muscle and weren't entering the blood stream... which turned out to not be entirely true as in some cases they were hitting a vein (initially trying to portray anyone who argued otherwise as a conspiracy nut case).

The best quote for all of this

who cares what psychiatrists write on walls!!!!

I thought I'd clicked on this thread and the first post I saw contained BLACKFRIDAYOFF at Ubereats.

I was thinking someone is making money from the old racism. Then I realised I'd clicked the takeaway voucher thread by mistake :D
