No idea what to make of this yet.
I don't think the captain of the England squad should act like this, he has to be a role model on and off the pitch. Doesn't matter what you think, as England captain he has the entire youth of this country look up to him. You reap what you sow.
On the flipside, I don't see many other stand out captains. Rio who was banned for failing a drugs test, Rooney who sleeps with hookers, Cashley cole is a little ****, Gerrard beat someone up in "self defence", ect ect
I was never in favor of Terry as captain anyway, he's over rated imo.

If it's hurt the team spirit or upset other players and caused a dressing room divide then they may as well get rid of him all together.
If it hasn't caused dresssing room unrest then there was no real reason to get rid of him as captain.
Capello isn't a mug, clearly he has taken the time to talk to senior members of the squad off the record and a good few must be privately with 'team bridge'.
In which case I wouldn't bother having him there at all. The last thing we need is a dutch scenario when everyone starts falling out.
Rio never failed the test, he just didn't turn up cause he'd gone shopping...
Anyway, they're a cracking bunch of role models for our kids. No wonder the country is going to ****.

Is there no-one here apart from Chelsea fans who think that the whole situation has been blown out of proportion by the press?
Bridge, Bird & Terry haven't said anything publicly so it's only allegations as to the real situation and who's bothered by it plus the press have focused almost solely on the England squad when to be honest the only real victim is the kid.

The kid hasn't sown anything and I'll add Terry's family too to the real victims list.
Just leave them alone to sort it out, it's got sod all to do with anyone else and especially the England squad now that it seems to be fact that WB wasn't even with her.

Taking the captainship off someone who transgressed in his personal life and giving it to someone who transgressed in his working life and is currently serving a 4 match ban...hmmm... that throws the "role model" excuse out of the window.
